In light of Mike's 'Change the f***ing record thread'

I was thinking today about how my football team is just the name of my City. Liverpool. No poxy words after it. I can't think of another club in the country that has that. Even one club cities like Newcastle and Leeds have United after it

I come from Liverpool, i support Liverpool and i go round the country shouting 'Liverpool'

Haha I was thinking something similar the other day, its great.

 

I also wondered how many agents have phoned their players and said "get a bag packed you're on a flight to Liverpool in the morning" only for the player to end up distraught as he realises it's Everton that are in for him.

yeah but Liverpool was a city before the club was formed. Southampton didn;t even become a city until the 1960's.....
