He's brilliant.

Wouldn't swap him for anyone.

This might not have been the morning for this thread had that shot that he dropped through his legs crept over the line mind you!

The double save was just fantastic - as good as anything I've seen a Liverpool keeper do and the defining moment in the match. If they'd scored they would have really fancied themselves to go on and win it. He is that rare thing - a goalkeeper who truly wins you games.

It has been said before, but he is very unlucky that Casillas is around at the same time as him and just got in there first for the national side. It isn't so much that he is better (his display at Anfield last season was astonishing mind you - possibly the best I've ever seen), just that he is the man in possession and barring any massive f***-ups will keep his place.

Seems an absoutley top man as well, Pepe.

The best and still learning, improving.

It has become more obvious in the last 3-4 premier league games that he has taken it upon himself to come for crosses more than in the past - made up to see that. I'll accept the odd error because it is a high risk strategy but it definitely reduces the chances of Mr Zonal Marking not doing his job.

Best keeper we've had.

The only weakness is he doesn't come out and collect with enough confidence and authority yet from crosses. That said i cant think of a keeper who does, Cech used to before his head injury.

Every other facet of his game is excellent and he still has plenty of time to get even better.

Mentioned a few weeks ago when people were taling about Reina, I think one small positive to come out of how surprisingly poor we've been at the back this season is that the footballing world has been made to accept how good Reina is.

Reina was criminally underrated by pundits, writers and supporters of other teams until this season. I think maybe part of that is the top class protection he'd previously had has meant him being less of an eye catching shot stopper.

This season he's been far busier, so people who don't see all the other good things he does by watching him week in week out have sat up and taken notice when he's kept us in games with some brilliant saves.

I think the general perception of him has changed massively since the start of this season. You hear pundits talking about him as one of the best around all the time now, and that (very unfairly) didn't happen previously.

In fact if anything they used to pick up on his very rare mistakes, which was infuriating. I don't think you can say he is the best in the world because Casillas is probably his equal. But I wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in the world.

He is as good as anyone else in the game, and he loves this club as much as any player in the squad which is extremley endearing. On the personal side Pepe is probably my favourite Liverpool player after Torres.

He's perfect for a big club like ours where you have far less to do than other, smaller clubs. His mental strength where he is able to stay focused in games where he has litterary nothing to do before having to act on the one good chance the opposition gets is just so important.

Think that is the main thing that differentiates him from other good shotstoppers who can be excellent in other clubs, not just at a club like ours.

Best I have ever seen play for Liverpool in my time. Clemence was exceptional but he was playing behind the possibly the best defence seen in English football. Reina by force of personality, commitment and skill has to drive his harder to excel and he does. He is, without doubt, the best distributor of a ball I have ever seen. Obviously that only applies to goalies but he is just magnificent.

To be honest he does it better than a lot of our outfield players.

With Alonso gone, he's now our best passer of the ball at the club. Distribution off left or right is second to none.

It's not the distribution it's his coolness with the ball at his feet. Commentators often make comments like "Oooo Reina was taking a chance there!" No he f in wasn't....he's so good with his foot work, they just haven't figured it out yet.

he must be up there with the givens, cechs and james' of this world

I bet even Ben Foster is now starting to look anxiously over his shoulder.
