Why's it 1500 people's fault that the atmosphere is s****?

 

What about the other 40000? Or the other 11000 in the Kop?

 

But the RTK champion themselves as the 'Atmosphere Makers'. And as for the other 11,000 in the Kop, aren't they scared to start songs off incase the RTK police deem not to sing it?

 

Dont get me wrong, I support the RTK and what they have done and attempting to do, but it's easy to support and sing for a winning team, it's when the chips are down they should be at the forefront. The last two home games have in large parts been played in silence.

Nope. The other 11000 generally can't be f***ing arsed.

There seemed to be an awful lot of day trippers yesterday, plus a 12:45 kick-off is never ideal for atmosphere.

 

A bit harsh to blame Block 306 et al, you do hear noise emanating from them pretty much all the time [i'm in the Upper Centenary], but it doesn't always stretch to the rest of the Kop (Particularly thinking of that 'Coming down the road' song).

The Kop has 8,000 season ticket holders I believe, so the normal match going fan outnumbers the daytrippers.

Unbelievable wasn't it. Even 'Season Ticket' seats seemed to be occupied by people from abroad. (Not sure if a few reds have had enough at the moment and just decided to sell a few home games for decent money)

Was poor yesterday but early games often are. I think 306 has 'generally' been a success. The problem often is that the songs they sing aren't spreading through the Kop.

 

Oh and Tricolour flags annoy me at the best of times. But the lads in front of me who thought it was the time and place to hold up their Irish flag with 'Henry cheat' written on the white bit every time they thought they might be on tv can f*** the f*** off

an awful lot of season ticket holders seemto be making use of the ticket exchange. a lot probably could use the money,many are probably fed up with watching s**** players not give a f***, but all in all the atmosphere has not been good recently, although i think the football we play is generally the reason more than anything else

Had an Irish lad sat behind me - a Season Ticket Holders seat - who proceeded to have a chat on the mobie during the second half. And then duly slagged the team off at the end. k****ead.

Im probably the wrong person to join in cause I live abroad and have only been to 4 matches all together, but if I do go I usually get the season ticket of my dads cousin if he can't make it.

 

Now the first time I went and the game had kicked off after the usual YNWA song I recognized one of the chants and started joining in and suddenly everybody around me just started staring at me as if I was some sort of outcast. After that I was to scared to sing or chant anyway.

So maybe its just a matter of feeling to embarressed incase you get caught singing on yer one or getting on one of your neighbours nerves.

 

Another reason could obviously be that I wasn't a regular and living in Germany, but in my eyes you should encourage everybody who wants to join in...

i had a scouse lad beside me. he arrived late, started slagging Lucas off before he even saw Lucas take a touch, came back late after half time with enough scran to feed a small village in mozambique for a week, and then left with 8 minutes still to play. moaned and complained the whole way through.

Yeah dont think its anything to do with daytrippers. My last game over was Debrechen. Scouse lad came in and sat beside me, 5 minutes into the game, he was away at 40 mins for the half time and left the game at 85.

You mean it wasn't just a load of self serving, idealistic, superfan tosh that quickly lost its appeal after they got their 15 minutes of fame and own bar for their mates to sneer at everyone and discuss fashion tips?

 

It's no surprise that the songs and atmosphere have gone even s***ter since these phoneys were give some credibility.

Thought the atmosphere was rubbish alright. I was sat among a load of scouse old farts and they did nothing but slaughter Rafa and the team. Lucas and Derek were their favourite targets.
