Keita Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) Rumour on Raotl is that the new stadium plans were canceled with Laing & Rourke on November 6th, might be b******s but thought I would post it on here to see if anyone has heard similar, if its true it is hardly a surprise with these pricks in charge. Falconhoof Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 what do you mean cancelled ?There was no progress or work on site to cancel anyway.
MFletcher Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Can you cancel something that wasn't going to happen?
stressederic Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Someone best get over to Stanley Park quickly and tell them to get that spade out of the ground...
CarraLegend Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Benitez is vermin, shouldnt have spent all that money on Johnson and a crock.
Benzo-13 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Rumour is that it's to re-tender to save on costs. World's biggest cardboard box, here we come!!!
Falconhoof Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Rumour is that it's to re-tender to save on costs. In theory thats a sensible move. Costs will have come down since the contract was signed. Meaningless though as its not getting built anyway, unless they really are bringing investors and a stadium naming package home.
Sion Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 They're going to tone down the plans so much the parrybowl plan will look like the noucamp.
muleskinner Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 No way are those t***s sharing Anfield.
Benzo-13 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 They're going to tone down the plans so much the parrybowl plan will look like the noucamp. That was a real Ikea flat-pack job ala Emirates/Estadio de la Luz.
mick Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 There going to invite us all to Anfield where we will board coaches, be blindfolded and whisked off to see the new stadium. A few minutes later we'll get off the bus remove the blindfolds and hey presto - a new stadium that looks suspiciously like the old one Oh wait that actually plan B......
Red Kent Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 No way are those t***s sharing Anfield. Watch this space.... and it wont be Anfield, nor will it be Goodison.
Mike Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Watch this space.... and it wont be Anfield, nor will it be Goodison. leave it out kev.
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Rumour on Raotl is that the new stadium plans were canceled with Laing & Rourke on November 6th, might be b******s but thought I would post it on here to see if anyone has heard similar, if its true it is hardly a surprise with these pricks in charge. Good.
muleskinner Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Watch this space.... and it wont be Anfield, nor will it be Goodison. I'm not holding my breath about it, it will be Anfield or our own new stadium.
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Keep on saying it, shared stadium........ Wont' happen. Too many fans on both sides would refuse to go. I'd never go there. I know a lot of reds and blues that also wouldn't ever go there. Neither club could afford to utterly alienate their local support.
muleskinner Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Shared Stadium it will be. Fact or your own paranoid thoughts?
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Shared Stadium it will be. No. It won't. Just cos the bluenose council want LFC to buy their ground doesn't mean it will happen. I know loads of blues that would f*** the game off and plenty of Reds as well. They can barely get 30,000 - once we move we'd never get more than 40,000 - because so many would leave in disgust and never come back. And I'd be one of them. I'd be wondering how low the rest had sunk as well.
surf Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 so, 4/5 years further on, the costs of building the stadium will have gone up and we'll have spent god knows how much on the one we're not going to build in plans & loans
Red Kent Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 It's my own belief and despite all the arguements and put downs etc etc. The only way we will get a new stadium is if we share with Everton. The club will get all kinds of grants etc etc and these two f***in cowboys will yet again not have to put their own hands to deep in their own pockets. I dont want a shared stadium, but it will always be on the back burner and now the heat is turning up.

We would fill a 60,000 shared stadium like it or not.

We would fill a 60,000 shared stadium like it or not. Hundreds at the moment. Football I feel is teetering. Won't take much for the 'thing of the day' to vanish in smoke. Especially with these stupid ticket prices and general rip offs around fixtures.
