CarraLegend Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Some common sense at f***ing last! Marca seem to think Torres wont be called up either but havent seen anything confirmed.
Cam Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Good news. It could only be topped with Gerrard taking the huff and retiring from international football with immediate effect.
Swipe Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 At last a sensible decision. Won't stop the media having a pop at Evil Rafa if SG is involved tomorrow, but f*** it. Fella needs this sorted over the break.

MFletcher Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I'm pleased to see Spearing hasn't been called up. We can't risk an injury to the most integral member of our midfield.
Crazy Horse Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Steve Warnock in. Well done. He's no Dossena obviously, but he's ok.

I await the cavalcade of journalists who will point out that this is yet more proof that Benitez is a s**** manager (ignoring the fact that Wenger has said how he regrets letting Upson go, for example). The problem is, Warnock would have been at best a squad player if he had have stayed with us and thus he never would have progressed the way he has. This new rule on English players will prevent players like Warnock, P Neville, Upson etc, who are not quite good enough to make it at the big clubs from moving on and progressing at a smaller club where they get more playing time.

Stop using logic. That is exactly the kind of dirty foreign trick that the dastardly Benitez would use.
Swipe Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 This made me chuckle, from Winter: Good call by Fabio to rest Gerrard. He can play for LFC v Brum and then have surgery and/or break. Fabio right to think of Jo'burg not Doha Long live Fabio! He's the acceptable face of foreign efficiency. Take note Rafa!
