New York Red Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Looks like a cross between this guy and this guy:
boohog Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 The partnership of him and Carra was pants. All his passes went sideways to Carra. they slowed down play far too much and had no ability to shift play forwards. Never want to see those two play as a pairing again.
Mr Makaveli Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Defnsively I tohught he played well but yes... I think Carra was pretty aweful tonight and should have been shown a red before that anyway.
Loblaw Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Think he's miles off the pace meself. To be expected really. Got caught badly for their first too. Gets sucked towards the ball when he should be aware of where Zomora is.
New York Red Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 That back four was woeful today. Really awful.
Beardsley Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Looks like a cross between this guy and this guy: Thanks. Made me laugh even if I feel miserable.
Keita Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Fulham were happy for him to have the ball. Thats says it all really.
Jarg Armani Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I think Agger coming down with the flu really hit us badly today. Don't think the first goal would have gone in, and obviously the football we play with him there is miles better, as someone's already said.
Loblaw Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Fulham were happy for him to have the ball. Thats says it all really. Jesus, that's a shocking revelation. The opposition happy? To let a centreback have the ball? Who'd a thunk it? Far more worrying was Fulham being happy to let Voronin, Kuyt, Lucas and MAscherano to have the ball.
MFletcher Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Carra should be fined every time be punts it forward.
New York Red Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 Carra should be fined every time be punts it forward. Carra is a marked man. Every ref knows his legs have gone.
Crazy Horse Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 What struck me today about the Greek was how brilliant he'd look playing a Lambeg drum in a Loyalist flute band.
FC Showster Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 What struck me today about the Greek was how brilliant he'd look playing a Lambeg drum in a Loyalist flute band. I have to say that I've never, ever, seen a Lambeg drum in a flute band
Crazy Horse Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I have to say that I've never, ever, seen a Lambeg drum in a flute band Setting the pedantry to one side, there are a few that do - it's not more widespread because of the way it slows the marching pace right down, making it even more apt for the Greek.
MFletcher Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Loyality flute bands are rather excellent, but would become fully excellent with the presence of the Greek.
Cheesecake Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 no pace whatsoever, not whats needed in this league, weak as f*** in the back linea stop gap, passenger
Nebraska Red Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I've seen tankers turn quicker than he does. In one piece I saw, he literally watches the Fulham attacker turn past him and shoot for goal. No real money and we are reduced to buying this kind of player when we shud have been after quality back ups.
Bootle Buck Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 We should never have let Sami go. Rafa should have promised him a certain amount of games. FFS he could have played in every one the way our defence has looked this season.
D.Boon Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 For the money we paid he was never going to be quality was he?
carrafan Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 For the money we paid he was never going to be quality was he? Not necessarily. Rafa has made some shrewd buys for cheap players while having others who were quite terrible. Kyrgiakos is simply a horses for courses player, he'll do well against physical teams who provide an aerial threat while not being as useful in other games. If Agger, Carra and Skrtel manage to stay fit for a lot of the season, Kyrgiakos will provide decent backup to those three which i'm okay with.
john_lfc Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 He's terrible Unfit, slow, overweight and his reading of the game is poor The only positive thing he has is that he is good in the air Bad signing
CarraLegend Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 He's terrible Unfit, slow, overweight and his reading of the game is poor The only positive thing he has is that he is good in the air Bad signing We know, you've said. Agger was pathetic for their goal too but he's seemingly immune to criticism.
Falconhoof Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Kyrgiakos isn't very good. We got what we paid for there alright.
