Gerrardrules Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Please just f*** off now. If all Liverpool fans write it on their top of the list for Santa then we might get lucky.
KopSpice Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 And Babel; he was woeful again and he wonders why he doesn't get given games....
carrafan Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Improved in the second half and chased the ball all game. I'm okay with him as backup if he continues to work hard. Wasnt nearly the worst player on the pitch today. Our midfield two and Babel were clearly inadequate.
Ethan Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Send the two of them on loan - f***ing sick looking at babel I'm signing up to twitter now just so I can tell him he's a c***

Wasnt nearly the worst player on the pitch today. Our midfield two and Babel were clearly inadequate. See that's an issue, he just doesn't have it to be first reserve or even really second, and from second going back that position really should be a prospect. I wouldn't be slaughtering him just based on tonight though, poor first half, good second Edited October 28, 2009 by Rimbeux
Ste M Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Thought he had a great second half, along with Degen. Spearing......crikey. The lad's not good enough. I could tolerate the get the ball, pass it 5 yards sideways routine if he had other redeeming qualities - but he hasn't. A shame too, I desperately want him to be a massive success.

madaboutlfc Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Spearing and Babel were atrocious because they clearly showed that theres not much between their two ears

Wasnt nearly the worst player on the pitch today. Our midfield two and Babel were clearly inadequate. Agree with this. Babel was waaaaay worse than Voronin. There were a few passes and runs that Voronin made where it looked like he was thinking very creatively, only for the players around him to be daydreaming and not on the same wavelength. He's not first team stuff but he's OK as backup. God, I never thought I'd type that about Voronin. Slag off Babel to your hearts content though, he actually deserves it.

Still not impressing a lot overall. Edited October 28, 2009 by Coyler
Red Kent Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Spearing plays with heart.Babel plays with rappers.Voronin plays for money.
Swipe Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Babel was miles worse than Voronin. So heartless.
Knox_Harrington Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Spearing plays with heart.Babel plays with rappers.Voronin plays for money. And off the back of tonight Voronin looks significantly more of a footballer than both of them. Which has to be concerning.

Knox_Harrington Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Insert robber instead of footballer then you have it.What a c***, getting paid on a contract he was offered of LFC's free will and doing his job better than most around him tonight. What a massive c***. Voronin is not good enough but he did OK tonight.
FC Showster Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Didn't have the best game again but to be fair to him there was one or two times in the second half, at least, where he used the ball fast and well in counter-attacks. Still not impressing a lot overall. There was one point in the second half where the ball came to him, I think Kuyt was making a run and it was the perfect chance to play a forward through ball but he took so long to control it that he had to pass it backwards. Not big enough, not quick enough, and not good enough based on Leeds, Sunderland, and tonight. Hope he proves me wrong though
Nebraska Red Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 There were a few out there who had no business wearing a Liverpool shirt. Voronin will always be top of that list, closely followed by Babel. Given the level of experience these 2 have, their efforts fall way short of what is acceptable at this level. Put them out on loan? Who would take them at the wage they are stealing from the club every week they remain at Anfield. The pair of them must be on terrific money and the ydo nothing to earn it. If we had the money, I'd suggest paying them off and sending them on their way.

Gunga Din Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Babel aside, spearing was our worst player tonight Lucas or Spearing. one of whom might get a World Cup winners medal this summer, the other might be playing in League 1 or 2.but then Spearing is local eh and we all know Rafa doesnt like the local lads.
johngibo YPC Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Voronin did ok tonight. Was working hard as well. People just want to slag him offBabel was REALLY poor though. Although he'd be much better off played on the right nowSpearing and Plessis had a tough job i thought with a 3 man midfield and they didnt do to badly Bloody Degen looked half a player at times!
stressederic Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Was he really that bad in the first hour or so? He honestly looked alright in the last 20-30 mins.

Agree with the all the points except for the midfield one. Arsenal went past them in the first half like they werent there. In the second half, their aim seemed to be attacking the space left behind by Degen/Insua and neither Spearing nor Plessis were there to defend, Skrtel and Kyrgiakos were pulled wide too many times for my liking.
