Just flicking through radio channels to get feedback on the weekends match and this tool has lost it big time! He is having a go at Rafa for his signings and a few Reds have called in questioning his credentials! Let's say it did not go down to well with him.

Granted his views aren't worth two shakes of a rats tail but it is hilarious listening to him on the defensive and spluttering out total s***!

Honestly mate, I stopped listening to that shyte about 5 years ago.

Rather than listen to that gobshyte go on one of his mental breakdowns, put DisneyXD on now, showing Toy Story 2, much better for the soul

All right then mate.

Mind you, Mr 'I'm so lazy I can't be arsed to turn up to training sessions and now i'm a repected pundit' did say he wanted to carry over the discussion after the eight o'clock news when he will have Mr Risdale with him. Whatever, you think of the former Leeds supremo, he only always had the utmost respect for our club so I can't resist.

It's bad I know.

I heard what he had to say about his Liverpool career and it was was excellent. Turns it he was our best ever goalscorer (in the premier league era (after Fowler, Torres, Rush (who was black, or 'mixed race' (yeah he did actually say that (honest)))))

love the way he's qualified that. john wark is our best ever goalscorer who had a handlebar moustache and starred in 'escape to victory'. erik meijer is our best ever goalscorer who named a fish dish after sami hyypia.

There are still some reds on this board who go on about him being the most talented striker they've ever seen at Liverpool

I had a miles more talented one stood next to him banging in 40 f***ing goals a season. Does my head in.

He was talented though. But that matters less when you put the mental in mentality to go with it.

I'm a talented singer, but if you never hear me sing I might as well be Ian Brown

he's not a particularly talented singer

Collymore's was a career of unfullfilled talent and bad decision making

Posted

out of interest, did he score more than heskey?

heskey helped us win trophies when he was here anyway. that couldn't didn't show at the one he played in.

Heskey scored 60 in over 200 games.

He scored 33 in 81 games.

Collydog plays the following gambits in order to prove he was the best:

a) goals to games ratio

b) "mixed-race"

He said yesterday it really riles him when 'so called' Liverpool fans have a dig at him for his record.

The implication of course being that you cannot be a true supporter if you fail to recognise his tremendous contribution for the club.

Despise him. I'm not saying only the finest players are worthy of being a pundit, but the sheer cheek of him dishing it out to anyone in football, never mind some of the top managers, when he spunked away his career and let down everyone who put faith in him is just too much for me.

Hateful cretin.

He reached a European semi-final, he says

His side finished in positions that ten years later would be CL qualification places, he says

What he doesn't say is that not many of us give a f*ck.

Dumb Football: Is Stan Collymore a Sky Sports robot controlled by Jamie Redknapp?

http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/fail/8424/d...e-redknapp.html

Collymore’s Wikipedia entry lists him as a ‘retired footballer’. Shouldn’t that be ‘********* footballer’?

Stan the Man penned a quite incredible treatise in the Mirror yesterday, expounding the Stan Collymore Formula For a Brighter, More Entertaining Premier League – cause, you know, as a league it’s really struggling right now (zoinks!).

Here are a few choice quotes from what ranks as one of the most ill-conceived pieces of sensationalist ‘journalism’ (zoinks!) I’ve ever read:

Stan says: “I would actually like to see the Premier League comprised solely of the 20-25 clubs who have been the biggest and most successful sides in modern history.”

Pies says: How very forward-thinking of you, Stan. Quick, shut the door before Stoke and Hull get in… s***, too late.

* * * * *

Stan says: “And there would be no promotion or relegation which would allow those teams to grow.”

Pies says: To grow – yeah, at the expense of all other teams, who would be forced to look in, freezing faces pressed against the window of Stan’s cosy shop. This isn’t the NFL, with established franchises and a college system – football clubs need the carrot/stick of promotion/relegation to fuel ambition.

* * * * *

Stan says: “Fans around the world want to see the huge games – not clashes involving clubs like Barnsley, Watford or Hull.”

Pies says (in Chandler Bing voice): Could you be any more patronising? OK, you have a point about Hull. Still, I’m starting to think now that Stan is actually a robot made by Sky Sports and controlled from a glass booth inside Stamford Bridge by Jamie Redknapp. “This is a huge game, Richard, huge.”

* * * * *

Stan says: “My main grievance is the reason why the likes of Wigan, Hull and Reading have got into the Premier League. For the most part it is due to wealthy benefactors who have bought into them because they are cheap investments.”

Pies says: And what about the way in which the big Prem clubs use their power and wealth to maintian an oligarchical regime? You can only make money from the lucrative Champions League if, er, you’re in the Champions League – that money allows you to balance your books/buy better players than other clubs, which … keeps you in the lucrative Champions League. Vicious circle alert. Never mind that Wigan and co. got into the Prem by playing better football than their rivals in the Championship.

* * * * *

Stan says: “Most people with the of greatest respect do not tune in to watch Wigan against Hull – they tune in to watch Liverpool versus Chelsea.”

Pies says: Yeah, he’s definitely a Sky Sports robot controlled by Jamie Redknapp.

What do you make of Stan’s guff? Do you think he has a point, even a teensy-weensy point? Or is he just a dumb Brummie with a penchant for dogging?
