Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Sunday is along way away, but I already have PMT. Come on you reds!!!
stressederic Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I still think we'll win this. I'm aware that I'm skating on the edge of delusion.
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 I can't imagine the feeling if we get done. A win and we are four points behind them.
stressederic Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I'm tempted to resuscitate the Magic 8 Ball for this.
surf Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 maybe you should ask the 8-ball if he/she/it is ready to make such a tough call first
Chili Palmer Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 3-1 Kuyt, Torres, Babel Owen will come on and score in the last minute.
M4TTA Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I'm tempted to resuscitate the Magic 8 Ball for this. Do it!!!! it's the only thing that can save us, the forums, and our future!! All HAIL THE 8 BALL
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 Owen will come on and score in the last minute. ...and then get stretchered off after being snapped in half and had his insides eaten by Skrtel.
Conrad Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Pepe Reina Fabio Aurelio Jamie Carragher © Martin Skrtel Alvaro Arbeloa Albert Riera Xabi Alonso Javier Mascherano Yossi Benayoun Robbie Keane Dirk Kuyt was the team that won 2-1 last year without Gerrard and Torres
quibs Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Any win will do... Just need a win... Hopefully Gerrard and Torres are fit for this.. We are Liverpool and better than this..
abc Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I think the biggest factor will be the supporters in the stadium. I will be utterly surprised if we keep a clean sheet, considering the way we've been defending (and also the rub of the green we've had) lately. Whether we let in an early goal or an equaliser in the 80th minute, the supporters must not let their heads drop, but just keep encouraging and pushing the players through. IMHO, the supporters' job is the hardest and the easiest at the same time - we might be at our best but we might still end up without the desired result. But it's easy for us to bring our best form to the match, it's not reliant on any factors other than their own mindset. If you have the right attitude, you're on your best form. I really hope that for 90-odd minutes on Sunday, the suporters at the ground will forget all about the ownership situation, the poor form of certain individuals, the lack of quality of others and keep encouraging and pushing our team across the line. How we act, and how we react will transmit itself onto the pitch. Our 11 on the pitch might not play to their best, or might not have enough confidence or even quality, but if we give them enough encouragement, their heart and determination might just help push us over the line.
Swipe Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 (edited) Not sure if he's just keeping schtum about it, but Rafa's comments suggest there's a real chance Stevie, Nando and Johnson won't be fit for Sunday. That's a nightmare scenario. Edited October 21, 2009 by Swipe
richwilks Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I hope Rooney is out, the way Carragher and Sktrel are playing at the moment I think he'd rip them a new one.
Dominus Maximus Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Agger did a good job last night. Just have Johnson back, and play Aurelio on the left, and We have a real grown-up defense again. You really can't fault instability at the back with two kids as full backs. We were playing Lyon ffs.
Stevie H Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 i want our winner to go in off a f***ing beachball.
renzo Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 i want our winner to go in off a f***ing beachball. It would be disallowed.
Stevie H Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 It would be disallowed.haha. it f***ing would too wouldn't it.
beejay Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Very doubtful if any of the injured will be available so... --------------------------------Reina--------------------------- Carragher-------------Skretl-----------Agger---------Aurelio Babel-------------Mascherano----------Lucas-------Dossena ------------------------Benayoun Kuyt------------------------ Compared to what would IMO be our best side : Reina,Johnson,Skretl, Agger, Aurelio, Kuyt, Mascherano, Aquilani, Benayoun, Gerrard, Torres. Sorry Carra, that doesn't include you this season.
richwilks Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 It would be disallowed. Can you imagine the uproar?
Bailo Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 haha. it f***ing would too wouldn't it.And the papers would declare reffing in this country to be "top notch".
