MFletcher Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 He must feel like Casillas at Real Madrid, except the attack aren't bailing us out every game. We're giving absolutely f*** all protection game after game, and yet he's keeping us in game after game and appears to be one of the few players who is actually capable of showing leadership on the pitch. He deserves better, frankly.
muleskinner Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Prepare yourself for a big offer for him in January/next Summer.
Paddy T. Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) He's a poor b*****d playin for us P.S. (Sod off, Dad!) Edited October 20, 2009 by Paddy T.

CarraLegend Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 He's s****, did you see his error against Everton about 8 years ago?

Swipe Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Must be killing him playing behind that f***ing defence right now. Best keepr in the world.
antidote Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 where do you think he would go? Barca is the only place, but i liked the way every time he concedes he feels like he has lost the world cup 4 clean sheets, in 13 games and thats against Burnley, Stoke, Leeds and Decreben.. this is very very very worrying, Agger looked solid, but it cant be told the same about the rest

MFletcher Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 We have to be honest here - Carra's legs have gone. He has practically no pace anymore, and we're all over the shop trying to cover his lack of pace and the gaps our full backs leave when they go forward. Considering we've often prided ourselves on clean sheets, I don't know what the f*** is going on.

Considering we've often prided ourselves on clean sheets, I don't know what the f*** is going on. On Carra I feel he's been slightly declining for about 2 years now. I also agree that more attacking full backs like Johnson and Insua are going to expose his lack of pace more and are also likely to put further pressure on the centre backs.

At least that's what happened when those of us with eyes suggested this earlier this season. There's no shame in it - he's played like a Trojan for 12/13 years and given everything. He is a legend. But his style is not conducive to a graceful decline in his 30s. It just isn't.

Gomez Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Of all the youngsters given a chance recently, Spearing, Kelly and Ayala. Kelly has easily impressed me the most. He was doing very well both defensively and in attack. It's a shame that is one of the few very strong areas we have as I reckon he deserves a run. Also unlucky that the equaliser came when he ricked his knee trying to get across.

He's done, is Carra, which is a shame as he is one of my all time favourite players

I worry that Rafa won't drop him because of the weight he carries at the club - Scouse lad etc., fan favourite etc.

Paisley was ruthless. Ferguson is ruthless. we need major surgery in that team. the owners are almost entirely to blame for this mess, but its Rafa unfortunately that will carry the can

Sion Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Torres, Gerrard, Mascherano and Reina will all leave. We'll replace them with David Prutton.

MFletcher Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 I feel sorry for Carra. I'm sure he knows that he's a massive weak link in the side.
