liverpool-kop.com is a joke of a site

I know i should just ignore that Jamie guy, but i can't help but read his stupid postings when I see his articles at the top of the news-now list. His latest on Rafa's spending is a joke (even though he didn't write it). I understand the concept of opinions, but his is clearly tainted, and his dislike for Rafa is absolutely unbearable to read. Ive already been banned once from his site for posting opinion and i think its bloody embarrassing to have a fellow supporter write such tripe.

There is no way a MANC could have so much history on our club. He is actually passitionate in his arguments also, so i doubt he is anything other than a Liverpool fan, sadly that is.

There just seems to be nothing that Rafa can do right in his books, and its f***ing annoying.

Has to be a Manc site with his opinions copied and pasted from proper LFC forums.

He's no Manc, but he's as far removed from what you expect of a Liverpool fan as you could get. It's really hard to visualise the guy as being anything than an armchair fan who has absolutely no connection with the city of Liverpool.

Before this leads to another type of debate, I think it's worth pointing out that for someone's 'fanship' to have any relevance they've got to have a desire to want to interact physically with the experience of supporting a team. That means trying really hard to get to as many games as possible, and having a real interest in the city which the team represent. Or am I mad ?

Whether Jamie b*llocks here does either of things I'd love to know.

Although what you express about fanship isn't always physically doable thanks to Geography and cost for many fans, I think the desire remains correct and inviolate.

Someone did dig up a while back that mr kanwar, he of the superbly anagramitic name lives in London, is from London and has another website which advertises his services as some sort of journalist'ad-man.

I bet he isn't hired much.

The bloke is a complete prick who writes articles purely to drive traffic to his site and raise his own s***ty profile.

People click on them, get pissed off by him and feel compelled to leave comments, which he responds to driving more and more traffic to his articles time and time again.

Wish Newsnow would ditch him because I keep inadvertantly clicking on them.

hahaha i think we are all guilty of clicking on that s*** site.. I did read in one of his articles where he complains about people logging for his site to be banned from news now to news now haha

I am guilty more than most with clicking on that site, but couldn't sit back after what he was saying about the union, particularly saying that the meeting with Gillett didn't happen, but in the article about Rafa's spending the meeting with Gillett is quoted from.

Myself and Graham from the committee offered to meet him to get the truth to him (even though he should know it already) and get him to retract his article. He wouldn't meet us in Liverpool because he said it wasn't a 'neutral venue.' He offered to meet us in Birmingham of London instead. Don't know if it will actually go ahead now as he was backing away from it after we called his bluff. Graham is on the case of it all now.

Of course that's true, but I'd like to think that amongst the Sky generation fans we have the world over that there are still plenty who dream of coming to Anfield, whom despite limited means are saving up for that day, and also have a hankering to immerse themselves in the city whose team they worship from afar.

What I'm not having is some internet and armchair Johnny come f*cking lately, who'd probably enjoy a 'scousers stealing hubcaps' joke as much as the next prawn sandwich eater pontificating about our beloved club just because he has too much 'access' to it via the wonders of modern technology (and breath).

F*cking hell, you'd think it would be handy to meet in Liverpool as that's surely the one place you all have in common, what with going to games and everything, which is what (wait for it) 'Liverpool fans' do... .....unless of course London is just too darn far away, what with the jet lag from a 2 and half hour train journey to Liverpool for hardcore Jamie.

He was scared there would be a welcoming party for him in Liverpool.

What flags? Banners? A mural? - That would be nice at Lime street....

it's another example of the new brand of journalism.

so many writers in all walks of life will put out sensational comments that are designed to raise the hackles of readers, these comments drive readers to their media outlet which in turn brings in money.

the only way these sites/writers stop this is when nobody bothers to read what they put out.

Cos he's heard it's a city of thieves, muggers and ruffians. Being a 'Liverpool supporter' he'll choose to accept this and never think it necessary to visit the city for himself.

Ive called this crank in the past on his freely available number just to see what his problem is and hes a jumped up little mummys boy. Spouted some s**** about free speech and put the phone down. He might not be a manc, although someone else has done a whois search on both his blog and the Republik of Mankunia site, where its rumoured he goes under the alias Scott-The-Red, and which sells without killing anyone t-shirts, and they both have the same details. Hes certainly not a Liverpool fan. Whoever he supports, hes a budding shock journo from Bristol, who has spotted a gap in the market and decided the quickest way to get ahead is bait our fans knowing what a huge reactionary internet fanbase weve got. Its a classic case of small penis syndrome and hell probably end up at the Daily Mail as the hatchet man or as the Scum editor. Best ignored.

Exactly - can't argue with any of that. I miss one home or away game and I get twitchy - the nipper is the same and we're 200 miles away - nothing like as far as Patsy, Skippy, Softy etc - but all of them have been to Anfield many times and always have their eye (and money) on the next opportunity.

Since I was pre-school, I don't think - in fact I'm sure - I've not lived threough a day were I haven't thought about LFC several times in that day...past games, current traumas and dreams - anything - it's like breathing, something you can't stop - something you don't want to stop.

Pricks like this kanwar tosser don't get it and never will. LFC is not a media event or presence, it's the stuff of life.
