anny road Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 been sacked today When I was doing the wembley commentary for the rugby league, we stayed in Watford on the Friday and Notts County were staying there I ended up in the residents bar with him and Tommy Johnson Both were sound, and both hated SGE...saying they never saw him, and he contributed f*** all He actually called his sacking...he said he would be gone within the month ( a little out and he reckoned that SGE would bring in someone under him) he called him a "complete s*** house"
anny road Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 he also said he had nothing to with Campbell going there
anny road Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 they seemed bemused by the whole thing tbh
muleskinner Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 they seemed bemused by the whole thing tbh The Notts County fans I know are bemused by it. It is unsustainable even if they do somehow manage to get into the Premier League. 5000 tickets were given away free for Sundays game because it was on Sky and they still can't fill the ground. The Forest fans are getting twitchy though which is a good thing, after years of pretending not to care about them.
Kahnee Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Sven is really showing himself up for the money-grabbing s***bag he is. Surely most of us would want to know who our paymaster was, rather than just taking the cash and ignoring all the questions?

Surely most of us would want to know who our paymaster was, rather than just taking the cash and ignoring all the questions? with all my debts, are you havin' a laugh? I'd snap their fecking hands off!
Ostrich Man Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 with all my debts, are you havin' a laugh? I'd snap their fecking hands off!indeed. "right youve got the job, we can offer you £50,000 a week" "excellent, now who's funding it?" "Oh we cant say" "oh gosh then I cant accept"
muleskinner Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Up for sale. SGE rumoured to be buying the club.
Maldini Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Another example of why the FA need to protect clubs. This was a scam from the start.
Zoob Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Another example of why the FA need to protect clubs. This was a scam from the start. Really very weird - but in what way was / is it a scam?
Maldini Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Really very weird - but in what way was / is it a scam? Apparently there was never much money there, the plan was to raise to profile of the club by flashing a bit of cash for a year or two and then sell it on. There was a good article about it a couple of months back, can't find it now, but here's a bit of background on the people involved. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle6847993.ece

The Football League were satisfied initially and ratified the takeover, then they reopened their enquiries a week or so back. It has seemed odd since the start, my take on it is that the owners thought they had backing from the Middle East, that has gone t*** up and they want out.

Feel really sorry for the fans though, as they've been taken for a ride...
muleskinner Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Peter Trembling has bought the club from Munto Finance, whoever they might be. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nty/8409631.stm
muleskinner Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Hans Backe, the manager, has quit after 9 games in charge.
Gunga Din Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Hans Backe, the manager, has quit after 9 games in charge. so he Hans Backe control to Sven then?
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 that's a f***ing yellow card Wayne.... What an odd League - look at the GD - Bournemouth, 2nd with +4 after 21 games, Notts C & Rochdale with +23 in 6th & 1st respectively
Kahnee Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 with all my debts, are you havin' a laugh? I'd snap their fecking hands off! Well, yes, I can see your argument and am fully on board with your reasoning. However, if Sven has our levels of debt then he's a bigger fraudster than I give him credit for
stressederic Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 So Sven is shortly to become unemployed? I'm sure Tom and George will take note.
muleskinner Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Don't get too excited, he is still involved.
muleskinner Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Players haven't been paid since November, the £400,000 they owe to the taxman is apparently the tip of the iceberg, the club is on very precarious ground. Sol Campbell was never paid a penny and that was the reason he left, nothing else.
Hassony Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Credit to Sven, he is still there trying his best to save the club, I think a lesser man would have left straight away
