I went there to watch the 1st U21 game when it first opened.

Also, saw the RL Challenge Cup a couple of years ago.

Great stadium with great views

same here roegahn (where aquilani was the star for italy U21's in that game). One thing i noticed though were the gale force winds that were blowing in and out of the exits and around the seats near the exits - some fella from plymouth who was there seemed to think it was due to the fact that it was built on a huge hill.

One other gripe was the fact that fish and chips were like a tenner despite being out of a box from iceland and the guy on the PA shouting 'WEMBLEY' before making any announcement!

Once you're in your seat its a bloody brilliant stadium with great views wherever you sit. It holds the noise very well too.

For corporate entertainment, I'm lead to believe it is awesome, with very pretty girls bringing you food and drink when you need it.

For the mere mortals, the wind tunnels mentioned above are a bit of c**k up, food and drink is s*** and costs a ton, and getting to and from the stadium is as painful as it always has been.

Either there or Uxbridge. Is still a royal pain in the a*** getting out of there - you could always stump up £20 and park there. That's not too painful!!!

Beckham has a better propaganda machine than Hitler had. He comes on and does nothing in a game that's already won, yet every five-yard pass or basic control of the ball is met with adulation from the commentators. If that wasn't enough, Steve Bruce wades in to name him man of the match. Unbelievable. Even Tyldesley sounded embarrassed at that.

Quick question. Was watching a documentary on the England vs Poland game in 1973. The crowd were singing YNWA all throughout the game. I also remember it being played before the England vs Italy game in 1997 at Wembley when I was in the crowd. I do not think it is used that much nowadays but was YNWA used by the national team before or after Liverpool?

Non stop digs at Johnson from Townsend and that manc t*** commentating. I despise the whole England circus.

Yep. I cringed whenever Johnson didn't get it 100% right because it was obvious they were going to pounce. If you listened to Tyldesley, you'd think Hargreaves had had a better game - and he wasn't even playing.

I find it astonishing Rafa gets the stick he does/has regarding playing players out of position, but there is such a clamour to have a defensive midfielder who hasn't been fit for two years to replace a genuine right-back.

Do the English press own Hargreaves a la MSI and Tevez?

What's odd about the Hargreaves to right back discussion is that should he get fit and playing regularly, he'd be remarkably valuable in centre mid for England as Terry in particular needs someone stood in front of him and Cole and Johnson both like to get forward.
