adiman Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Didn't see this in the international injury round-up but Nemeth won a pen and scored two as Hungary beat 8-man Italy 3-2 in the Under-20 World Cup.Highlights
fyds Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Gulacsi in goal too, and maybe Simon gort a run out - couldn't tell.
honourablegeorge Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Cool, we might get our money back when we sell him to Crewe in two year's time.
Beardsley Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Gulacsi in goal too, and maybe Simon gort a run out - couldn't tell. Simon played too.
Maldini Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Yeah, Simon's twin brother is in the squad too
fyds Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) Notice one of the Italians sent off was Gentili...some things never change! Edited October 12, 2009 by fyds
Snookie Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Notice one of the Italians sent off was Gentili...some things never change! What a great player Caludio Gentile was though. Never sent off either which is odd as he is probably the nastiest defender to play the game in the last 30 something years.
yellow jumper Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 he wouldn't have lasted a game with that ref there.
Snookie Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Maybe but he was such a good player that I think he would have adapted to the modern game perhaps by spending more time digging forwards in the kidney's than raking the backs of their legs.
Tosh Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Hungarian sending off was harsh - the youngsters are clearly learning all the "gamesmanship" tricks! The "tackle" for the second Italian sending off was not nice.
JRC Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 A certain God-like quality to young Nemeth in that clip, dare I say?
intense enigma Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Maybe but he was such a good player that I think he would have adapted to the modern game perhaps by spending more time digging forwards in the kidney's than raking the backs of their legs. OOOO...would've loved to see him handle Drogba.....would've likely put the disgrace out of the game for good.
