ynwa.tv Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Down Memory Lane Meet the Referee Double Agents
Farmer's Tan Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 am not looking forward to this at all with the way our defenders are playing, drogba can be a handful the the best of times.i know on the other end torres always scores against these but i cant see us being able to deal with drogbas strength or pace or terry on corners (anyone one who can attack a ball, really)
psl Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Apprently Drogba has scored 8 goals against us since 2004.
Swipe Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Henry Winter just put this on Twitter: Agger and Mascherano back for Liverpool, v important in combating Drogba; Agger (or Carra) can attack aerial ball while Masch shields back-4
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Masch - yellow card in the fifth minute and ensures 'the Drog' will never father a child Job's a good un from then on in
Swagger Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 2-1 Liverpool, Torres and Kuyt with the winner. Put your money on it, boys.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Apprently Drogba has scored 8 goals against us since 2004.Torres has 5 since 2007
allawee Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 The pace and aerial threat up front with Anelka and Drogba really worry me. I will take a draw now as well!
Red Kent Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 We owe them big stylee. 12-0 Insua Carra Johnson and Voronin hat tricks
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 We owe them big stylee. 12-0 Insua Carra Johnson and Voronin hat tricks Give over 12-2, we always concede away from home !
Red Kent Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Give over 12-2, we always concede away from home !Na Cavalieri to keep a clean sheet
Red Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Mike posted a comment pointing out the fact we've lost to all the 'decent' teams we'd played so far. This match is certainly goin' to test that theory. We better be up for it, 'cause if we're not, we'll be seriously 'found out' (for want of a better expression).
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I've heard that theory. Spurs was the 1st game of the season and we were all over the place. Villa, we battered them, they got a deflected free kick goal, a bloody set piece. They were unfortunate/sloppy goals. Fiorentina, we were criminal. I would say that Chelsea will receive a much bigger focus than the above and we will approach it differently.
Sion Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Mike posted a comment pointing out the fact we've lost to all the 'decent' teams we'd played so far. We've not played any decent teams. We've just played s*** in a few games. West Ham away is a harder fixture than Villa at home.
floyd the barber Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 doubt we will see any major changes....putting agger right back in the side would be crazy in my opinion BUT i would put the mad greek in....he can handle drogba
Red Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 The theory still stands then? Against the 'better' sides, whether we've played cr*p or made cr*p mistakes, we've still lost. Anyway, my point is this match will test our credentials. The attitude of the team has to be spot-on, as does Rafa's team selection. I wouldn't have thought Agger would be ready to play, only having one reserve match under his belt, but I'm obviously not privvy to how he looks in training and Rafa' might feel Skrtel's form is forcing such a change upon him. I'm not sure what he'll decide, but Masch's return will hopefully help provide more cover for whoever gets picked next to Carra'.
realtarragona Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Would take a draw right now I think I would as well, and I've never ever thought that (in league anyway) I have confidence we can score but I have zero in our defence. Hoping Drogba has a bad game because otherwise it could be bad news.......
Alonso Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Had a dream we were 2-0 down but came back to win 3-2 with a Fowler hat-trick, wonder what the odds would be!? Maybe I just change Fowler to Torres?

Jarg Armani Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 interesting stuff from the manager, sounds like agger's got a real chance tomorrow.
