Mike Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Torres has scored 58 goals in 92 Liverpool games since his debut in August 2007, while Gerrard has 123 in 492. But the true mark of their quality and chemistry comes from the 77 games the pair have played together, when they have plundered 86 goals between them - Gerrard with 39 and Torres 47. 86 goals in 77 games.
Swipe Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 That's ridiculous. The chemistry was absolutely instant between them as well.
Dan Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Saw a stat the other day that Torres has scored 33 in 34 league starts at Anfield. Again, decent.
floyd Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 It's like Hart to Hart. This is my boss, Steven Gerrard - a self-made millionaire. He's quite a guy. This is Mrs. T. She's gorgeous. She's one lady who knows how to take care of herself. By the way, my name is Dirk. I take care of *both* of them, which ain't easy; 'cause when they met... it was *golas*!
Mike Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 hahahaha superb floyd. 'by the way my name is dirk, i take care of both of them'
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 86 goals in 77 games - truely phenomenal !

They've got 11 in 7 this season and barely been played up front together. The key factor is having them both on the pitch.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Mike, are those 77 games ones they have started together or just figured on the pitch together at some stage or another via subs ?
allawee Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 And I read somewhere the other day that the legendary Dwight Yorke-Andrew Cole partnership is the best in the PL history! Are we sure the Torres-Gerrard combination is better? I am not sure the sky experts would agree! If they stay fit all year, we definitely have a chance.

Incredible stats. Furthermore, the usage of the term 'Plundered' is commendable.

David Hodgson Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 What, for that stat? No s*** Sherlock. As opposed to 'paired up front together' brainiac.

psl Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 If only Rafa wouldn't keep rotating them both.
magneto Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 lets hope they do the same against the Chavs on Sunday
growler Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 great, you do realise that won't score again until December now right?
