Absolutely, getting that away goal but conceding 2 is a better result than drawing 0-0. You really do need that away goal - at any cost !

They will miss Gilardino but have good options in Mutu, Jovetic and others. Decent keeper in Frey too. Decent side, but we are better but their ground is a difficult one to win at.

Fiorentina always manage to have good strikers but they actually have a good team this term and will be tough to beat.

 

Btw, isnt their fullback Juan Vargas highly rated? We were linked with him earlier in the summer but he signed a new deal, i think.

When Everton went there, there was an alcohol ban across the city, they couldn't even get a drink in the airport.

frey should have gone on to be world class but never really kicked on at a time when the france 'keeper's job was begging for someone to grab it.

Yeah Frey was expected to become a better keeper than he actually did, but he is still a pretty decent one.

Too right. You'd hope Masch would be, but there's no indication of the seriousness of Yossi's injury.

Interesting piece of trivia. Their coach, Prandelli, played the last 6mins of the tragic final in Heysel in 1985. He has been talking about Heysel in the pre-match press conferences.
