Red Kent Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I dont think he'll get any more punishment for his celebration as Clattenburg cautioned him for it, so I think that's as far as it can go as it was dealt with at the time. However, he has to be looking at a three match ban for that stamp on Van Persie, it was awful.
kop205 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Here it is for those who haven't seen it (though I suspect this will get taken down pretty quickly) I've always thought he was c***. Talented, but no way near as good as some make out. Not someone who will roll up their sleeves for you and not someone I'd have near our club.
Bigal Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I dont know, I would have him at LFC, purely as his dance wound my dad up so much, it would be funny. he is a c*** of man, and his "apology" was pathetic.
dorgie Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Didn't Gary Neville just get one of the FA's "stern warnings" when he goaded our fans (you know, those special warnings reserved for Man U where every other team gets a fine and a ban) ? In order to be consistent, I'm sure it'll be at least a 3 game ban for Adebayour so

In order to be consistent, I'm sure it'll be at least a 3 game ban for Adebayour so Yeah, he did. Think he also got a seat chucked at him that just missed his horrible f***ing kipper as well (or was that another game?) What would be a reasonable ban? 3 games for the stamp, for a start - you could even make a case for more as it although it wasn't especially forceful he only just misses his eye. There is a precedent - Thatcher on Mendes - for longer bans for particularly s*** house fouls. For the celebration? I'd say another 2 games for that. He should miss about 6 games I reckon. Be interesting to see what actually happens. I suspect City's money will talk and he'll get off with the celebration. Can't see him getting away with the stamp, so I reckon he'll get 3 games.
Benzo-13 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I hope he gets a ban after next weekend and after he does the same to a few Red Mancs.
Alonso Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 He also stamped on Fabregas's ankle too. Only saw it briefly so can't say whether it was deliberate or not but think that went unpunished too.
floyd Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I hope he gets a ban after next weekend and after he does the same to a few Red Mancs. Won't be any messing around by the FA. Wouldn't be surprised if the Tramp has called for a meeting today, so they can agree to ban him immediately. Guarenteed to be banned for next week.

Guarenteed to be banned for next week. this. can't argue though, it gets worse every time you see it. bellogs is the more important player for city next weekend anyway. adebayor always plays like a c*** against united.
spk Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 aye the stamps pretty much nailed on and went unpunished at the time so thats up to a three game ban nailed on. as far as the crowd stuff goes i cant see it going anywhere as the f.a. will hide behind the same on mantra they always do in that it was dealt with by the referee at the time. arsenal fans have behaved pretty sickeningly towards some of their players over the past couple of years so frankly i can understand where he's coming from.
Zoob Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Really was cowardly. And he's not nearly as good as Rooney is at making stamps / kicks look like an accident. Edited September 13, 2009 by Zoob

Having said that he always struggles with Bellogs.
Rimbeux Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Only thing was Vidic was struggling with Crouch. Having said that he always struggles with Bellogs. Vidic is reachable in the extreme, he's a hell of a player but prone to losing it and have an absolute mare
SkippyjonJones Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 of course he'll get a ban. After all they are playing that lot next weekend. perfect timing
Redray Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Not an excuse but he was wound up big time by some moronic a*** fans apparently. Some chants about his dead dad washing elephants and mum being a whore. Bang out of order.
D.Boon Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Shame one of those plastic seats didnt clock him for a few stitches. To see him rolling around after that piss take would have been f***ing hilarious.
JonShar Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Hopefully he'll be able to appeal and play against those jammy manc c*** f*****s.
Raj Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Adebayor is a massive, massive c*** and deserves every bit of abuse. He's a moneygrabbing w*****. I detest everything about that type of player. He should be banned from the game, for dancing like a c*** too. Edited September 13, 2009 by roegahnn
CarraLegend Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Not an excuse but he was wound up big time by some moronic a*** fans apparently. Some chants about his dead dad washing elephants and mum being a whore. Bang out of order. The chants are s**** and personally i'd rather concentrate on supporting by own team. But he's started all this with a string of s***ty things that have wound their supporters up, the whole hissy fits about wanting to leave last season, "I wouldnt be at Arsenal if it wasnt for the money", the lazy performances. He's been a complete w*****.
John am Rhein Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Anyone who slags off Arsenal or its fans deserves credit
floyd Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Anyone who slags off Arsenal or its fans deserves creditI heard he despises Nick Hornby, Alan Davis and Lofty.
Earl Hafler Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 He should be banned from participating in the game at Arsenal as further punishment.
drdooom Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Hughes explanation for the celebration: "He [Adebayor] wanted to share the moment with the fans in the corner with whom he has a special affinity. It is the same area that the Arsenal fans were in so there is the potential for people to see it as the wrong thing to do." Riight...
