After the interesting (Well, I found it interesting) discussion in the last thread, I thought it might be interesting to see what is usual for people to get out of good fiction books that people enjoy reading.

It's something I've not really thought about before - just assumed that people became immersed in books as a default. I'd say I wasn't the bottom one - but that would be great! That's happened to me once or twice though - but not enough to be usual.
