honourablegeorge Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Looking at Sky Sports News yesterday - United represented by David Gill, Chelsea by that f***ing toad Kenyon, Arsenal by Ivan Gazidis, and us by King Kenny himself. Nice feeling, to see a football man amongst all those suits
Chili Palmer Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Looking at Sky Sports News yesterday - United represented by David Gill, Chelsea by that f***ing toad Kenyon, Arsenal by Ivan Gazidis, and us by King Kenny himself. Nice feeling, to see a football man amongst all those suits We had our suits there as well. But yeah, its always nice seeing Kenny back in an official capacity.
Leo No.8 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Why can't Kenny head a consortium of Arabs Or alternatively stick rat poison in the Americans tea at the next board meeting. In fact I think that'd be preferable.
Red Kent Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Or alternatively stick rat poison in the Americans tea at the next board meeting. That would mean that they would be in this country, which we all know is hardly ever the case.
Zoob Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 That would mean that they would be in this country, which we all know would cost us another 10 million in expenses. Fixed that for you.
honourablegeorge Posted August 28, 2009 Author Posted August 28, 2009 Or alternatively stick rat poison in the Americans tea at the next board meeting. In fact I think that'd be preferable. He rather wasted that hand grenade, if you ask me. Was a golden opportunity.

Nice feeling, to see a football man amongst all those suits Yeah but can imagine when they bail out the back for the coffee and bikkies after - King Kenny would be hiding in the corner saying please don't let those c**ts see me......
Flasher Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 King Kenny works for the club, therefore the Americans. The Americans employed King Kenny. They've got no money, but they are doing other things right, including getting rid of Parry and bringing in Purslow.
honourablegeorge Posted August 28, 2009 Author Posted August 28, 2009 Purslow was put in place by the banks As part of the refinancing? Interesting if true. Might tally with the sudden transfer goalpost shift.
Benzo-13 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Purslow was put in place by the banksDo you buy into this rumour that we're owned by RBS/Wachovia now?? The Yanks have been strangely silent this summer..
Maldini Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I don't think they own us, bt it's pretty clear they have control of the purse strings, either directly through Purslow or indirectly because the yanks have to pay them another wedge in the summer.
Chili Palmer Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Purslow was put in place by the banks I don't think thats true at all.
floyd Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Looking at Sky Sports News yesterday - United represented by David Gill, Chelsea by that f***ing toad Kenyon, Arsenal by Ivan Gazidis, and us by King Kenny himself. Nice feeling, to see a football man amongst all those suitssurprised that tw4t Gill never objectd to Kenny being there, like he did to Dave Galley. Cvnt of a man representing a cvnt of a club
FakeNewsBear Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Do you buy into this rumour that we're owned by RBS/Wachovia now?? The Yanks have been strangely silent this summer.. heard that too
Falconhoof Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 There'd have to have been some sort of announcement or change of ownership declared wouldn't there ?

FakeNewsBear Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 it's that f*cking horse he thinks its all a game, we all know its more serious than that
mathewbet1 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Purslow Pursestrigs pur slow Slow purse strings purse no purse strings purse puppet
growler Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 maybe it was to 'quietly' avoid administration; ie the bank owns part of the club (hence the writedown of debt) and have placed a man in there to cut costs and manage the debt/equity ratio. The benefit of the whole process, is that if the debt if paid down, we would have the equity in the club to finance the stadium when world finances improve. ie. If we get our debt down to under 200mil, then financing 300mil for the stadium with another 100mil coming for sponsorship means we may actually get the stadium by the time Gerrard retires (as manager when he is 65)
