its not harsh. anyone else played liked that and he'd get a 3. he looked way out of his depth

You are a very hard person to please then. I thought he did well and so did Carra and Reina judging by their reactions during and after the game.

but harsh for a 3, id give him a 6 just for effort, it was obvious even before the kickoff that the boy would be out of his depth, did the best that you could expect i felt.

its called encouragment. he s*** himself every time he had the ball. if you want to give him 6 then fine, i'm not really arsed. i thought he looked woeful. but there you go

I'm not giving him anything, its not X factor.

he might as well go on x factor. there is more chance of him making it as a singer than as a centre half at Liverpool

And you might as well do the same as a nicompoop because you have more chance of doing nicompooping stuff than being a supporter of Liverpool. :)

Did he score an OG or create an opportunity for the opposition?

I didnt see the game so I am wondering if you can explain why he was so bad.

To get a 3, is to get into Paul Stewart territory, so he must have been pretty horrific

Radio 5 were saying that we missed Alonso and Lucas isn't the answer

weird as he seems to have played well and we couldn't score against Stoke last season when Xabi was in the team

I wouldn't argue with big wayne, he called itandje brilliantly based on his warm up, a pretty good judge of a player

Thats irrelevant

he didnt know what to do with the ball, he didnt hold the line, he was caught out of position time and again and only a decent final ball by stoke players stopped us getting into trouble.

on a couple of occasions he got the ball, no one near him, walked out with it, every player bar Pepe ahead of him, gets to the centre circle, then turns round and makes to go back towards our goal with the ball.

and paul Stewart would have got a 1.

If Ayala plays another game for us i'll be stunned to be honest.

Lucas played really well, kept the ball moving and us ticking. he isnt a replacement for Alonso because he is a different type of player. one encouraging thing from us tonight was that we were getting bodies forward consistently. the movement in the final 3rd still isnt great, but it was nice to see 2 fullbacks willing to get into their box and make nuisances of theselves

Perhaps he was nervous. Perhaps he needs time to adapt to this or even Championship level.

I'll be honest, I dont think that he will make it here, from what I have seen, but to give a kid a 3 on his full debut seems harsh from what I have heard

I felt a bit sorry for Insua that he didn't score from that chance. He should have put it away really, but he'd bust a gut to get up there alongside the break which is really good to see.

like you have said lad, you havent seen the match. i didnt realise the match ratings factored in experience, age, nationality.

f*** it, lets just say he was class, the new Alan Hansen. the lad was brilliant. give him the armband and be done with it.

Does he look physically out of depth too Wayne?

compared to the other defenders, he did, he isnt strong enough to play there in the prem, i dont think he would make it at championship or even league one to be brutally honest.
