I'd be tempted to do that as well. Get Johnson and Riera chucking the crosses in and get Benayoun to try and get the ball either side of the centre backs.

 

I wouldn't mind hearing that Voronin and Babel had been put down prior to the game as well.

What exactly did Voronin do wrong yesterday?

There was that horrible cross where he put it about 20m from the closest teammate and he dwelled on the ball a couple of times and ended up losing it.

 

Believe me, I was quite excited to see him come on ( :unsure: ) as I don't bear a grudge against him or anything. Yesterday he was really poor though. Babel-esque.

We'll win our next 6 league games in my opinion. And we probably need to with a tough little run of Chelsea away, Sunderland away, Utd home and Fulham away after that. Then City, a derby and Arsenal not long after. A good chance to get a little run going and build momentum.

Who do you think you are spreading false hope? We've lost the league already haven't you heard?

 

Losing at one of the hardest aways in the league thanks to referee decisions with a number of key players out is a clear sign we're not even going to finish top 4.

Agree with Sion. Hopefully Spurs will take quite a few points off our challengers at WHL this season. It's a tough place to go.

do we want Carra and Skrtel starting if 1 of them is crocked?

hopefully, Rafa will sit Lucas and mascherano down together and spell out their duties, and how they need to play together as Lucas seemed to be the only one of those 2 who had a clue what was supposed to happen.

I remember last season we pushed everyone forward going for the winner and Stoke cleared the ball to Fuller who was basically through on goal but he turned round and passed it back, they were that negative.

 

Hopefully this year we dont get corrupt officials who disallow perfectly good goals.

Let's absolutely smash this lot to make up for yesterday please.

 

Nevermind making up for yesterday, we should smash them to make up for not scoring (well according to the ref) a goal against them in over 3 hours of football last year.

got to have Kuyt in the team for this game where space will be tight in the final 3rd. his work rate alone will put the Stoke defence under pressure. i would be inclined to drop Gerrard back and play Yossi behind Torres. wouldnt mind seeing Dossena get a game at Left mid either

Nearly spot on with that, I'd probably drop Gerrard in mid though and play Riera.
