I'll laugh if anyone says Gerrard - stank the place out today. Gave it away at every opportunity. Wasted possession. Wasted chance after chance. Wasted setting people again and again. Was barely in the game.

 

The 'referee' was a joke from start to finish and every year the league looks more and more corrupt. He personally wasted over 5 minutes towards the end of the game - then plays 3 minutes - and there was a (+30 second) sub on as well.

 

Laughable.

Thought he did alright. Reina was brilliant. Johnson did better than I expected. Benayoun did really well - but wasn't on that long.

 

Gerrard was shocking. Torres wasn't in the game. Lucas was quiet. Mascherano was mental. Babel was worse than Gerrard. Kuyt was solid. Voronin was average. Ayala was OK.

 

Insua was solid and got forward and had a go unlike some of his teammates.

 

If I hadn't picked him, I might have gone for Benayoun or possibly Kuyt.
