Falconhoof Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 sad news but he was inspiring towards the end when he kept going even though he was clearly failing. RIP

AntM Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Took a proper backwater club and turned them into a great team... Great football man and seemed to be a great bloke as well...
Superjay Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 The epitome of a gentleman. He always reminded me of me granddad. Very sad this. At least he's at peace now, takes a big man to battle cancer once but 5 times is an indication of the man. Hopefully something can be done to mark the passing of this legend.
Chili Palmer Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Very sad, one of the few people in football that everybody liked. I'll echo that.

smithdown Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) Proper loved his footy didn't he? Always liked that footage of him at Barca looking gobsmacked when Ronaldo beat four defenders and rolled it in. Good sides those Ipswich teams too. RIP. Edited July 31, 2009 by smithdown
