Planning a trip to the UK in August

Bloody hell it's been a long time.

 

So, with that being said, I need some hotel recommendations for Liverpool, London, and Manchester please. Also a decent car rental company to go through that won't rip me off.

 

Should I go ahead and convert dollars into pounds now, or would I be better holding off for another month.

 

Finally, I'm timing it to hit the first 2 weekends of the new season - can some extremely kind soul help me in my quest to get a ticket for a game please? Would be much indebted.
