I was 11 and forced to go to a guitar lesson by my parents that night. I remember rushing back to my Grandparents house to watch, thinking I had missed the first half hour and being told the kick off had been delayed. I was delighted until the whole situation became clear.

RIP all that died that night.

RIP all that died that night.

Simliar thing with me, I was round my mates playing Daley Thompson when I realised the time. Ran back home thinking I'd have missed the start only to witness what was unfolding.

Sadly my first memories of watching the reds

It's weird, it's one of the first matches I can definitely remember watching, but I can't remember having a clue about the deaths or anything else at the time, although almost 8.

I'd been playing tennis in Sefton Park with my mate and was frustrated on the way home by late running buses (a long wait for the 75 at the Jolly Miller after getting off the 60). It's mad the stupid details that stick in your mind. I burst in the house to find that the game was late kicking off. Sat there for hours in total disbelief, horror and helplessness.

RIP

Remember it very well. Back in the 80s Liverpool and Juventus were probably the two best supported teams here in Malta, so it was the final of finals for many. Sadly what happened made the match meaningless. RIP.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was living in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and a bunch of us scousers went to watch the game in the afternoon. We were stunned by what we were seeing unfold. later that evening we went to see Frankie Goes to Hollywood and afterwards got backstage with the band and watched it again with them on a video they had made. They too couldn't believe what had happened and we all watched in silence.
