'It is disappointing when you do see they are not playing their top man but Alex is single-minded and I don't think for one minute he will be concerned, when he picks his team, what happened to Neil Warnock', said Neil Warnock.

To be honest, I think he has some kind of problem with foreigners in the game. The Henchoz incident is a prime example of that.

He wouldn't be stuck with managing a load of kids at the bottom of the second division at a sh*thole somewhere near croydon.

Definitely.

Allardyce was on SSN again the other day aswell having a regular rant about how he "deserved" the England job, has proven himself, should be at a bigger club, would have a better chance of a big job if he wasnt English etc etc. There cant be a more arrogant man in the world, his opinion of himself is incredible. Its obviously why he has a problem with Wenger aswell, he believes he should be managing the Arsenals and Liverpools of this world.

On another note my respect for Steve Mclaren has gone up a lot now, he wasnt content sitting on his a*** waiting for the next crap English club to come about, he went abroad, done really well and as a result is now being linked with the Ajax job.

'At the end of the day Newcastle still have to get a result at Villa and Sunderland have to get a result, possibly. They have to worry about themselves.'

Unlike himself who went down because of Tevez and not because they failed to beat Wigan on the last day.

100%. he's gone right up in the estimation. first domestic manager for years to have the balls to take on a different culture and football, absolutely fair play to him,

The loss to penalties in the final was all the seperated Mclaren from leading them to their best ever season too. He's also managed all of it on a shoe string budget and without upsetting any dutch football purists. He's been a revelation. Must be something in the water over there.

Agree with that. I think we all (well most of) has a chuckle when Twente appointed him, but he's done really well. And of course we wouldn't have had that fantastic interview done in a dutch accent had he not gone there.

the respect for mclaren is tempered by the caveat that dutch domestic football is really, really, really sh*te. but still fair play to him for having the balls to go abroad and give it a go. he probably got offered more money by ITV or setanta.

It'll be a sad day for Dutch football if they appoint a foreigner to such a prestigious job,

I mean, we all like Cheddar cheese, but this is political correctness gone mad.
