My cousin's been killed for asking for a cigarette

He went out for a couple of drinks early evening. Had 4 pints and left the pub at 9.30. Outside the pub, he's asked a young lad for a cigarette and been smacked a couple of times, fallen backwards into the road and run over by a car.

 

What kind of f***ing country are we living in now ? New Year's eve, a guy is stamped to death by yobs after he went out looking for his dog after it had been scared by fireworks.

 

It's impossible to process, to understand.
