Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 can't see this anywhere http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ing/8047177.stm shame, as he actually seems like a decent bloke
Bootle Buck Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) Maybe a year or two away from the game might cheer him up. He always looks so depressed even when he is winning. He seems like a really nice fella and I wish him well. As a kid I always wanted him to come to Liverpool. With Heighway on one wing and Coppell on the other we would have torn everyone apart. It would have been the smartest wing pair ever. Edited May 13, 2009 by Bootle Buck
charlie clown Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 trouble is for him now that the available jobs will likely be at the s****house clubs rather than at the kind of place he should be given a go at.
Ethan Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 f*** him the Manc f*** - Reading were one of the worst s***house teams I've ever seen us play - that game were Nando got a hat-trick in the cup he was also assaulted almost raped through that game

Tosh Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) He should get a run at a decent club, but won't. Better than Allardicio etc. Not the best news for Reading though Edited May 13, 2009 by Tosh

Flasher Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I think he's a cracking manager. If Newcastle had any sense they'd get him in instead of Shearer. I certainly wouldn't object to him being brought into the fold at Liverpool, and groomed as our manager for the future. Very level headed, and certainly not personally responsible for the kicking The Tog got there in the cup, it's not his style. Reading finished the season with a dreadful run where they just couldn't score at home. Before that they played the best football in the Championship and their goal difference was miles better as they banged them in.

I don't thing grooming him for the future is an option really. Edited May 15, 2009 by Boca

I liked the old days when you had to have served the club a long time and were by default 'quite' old when you took over (Paisley, Fagan etc). It's incredible just how wise Rafa is for his relatively young age.
