Carragher, Skrtel & Agger have all been individually questionable lately.

 

I'd start with Hyypia.

Erm... the Daily Mail are reporting that Torres did his hamstring in the week and hasn't been able to train much over the last 72 hours. Anyone heard anything?

Newcastle are staying in The Vincent in Woolsville tonight for some strange reason. Not like there's no fancy hotels in town for them to stay in.

I'm hoping that the Mail are talking crap, but if he's managed to train at all, it means the injury can't be too bad, so perhaps he should be on the bench. We beat them 5-1 without Torres last time, if need be should be able to beat them again without Torres. But if he has hurt his hamstring again, it's a bit of a worry, and absurd that he's only going to get 3 weeks break this summer.

Yep, and is the kind of injury that needs sustained rest in order to make a full recovery. I think if Torres had been fit the whole season (or hadn't missed / been unfit for almost half our games) we would have won the league. We need him rested recovered and fit for next season and the combination of the confererations cup and our far east tours, are just a disgrace.

If it is true i hope to God we pull him out of the Confederations Cup in the summer.

Whoever agreed to the deal that Torres must play in the summer friendlies needs a slap. Bet it was Parry as a final farewell.

hopefully it will specify that Torres has to play 90 minutes of every game of the tour.

With Nando being injured, this will probably see Nemeth on the bench, as he wasn't even named in the last reserve game.

that was probably more to do with him playing in the cup final a couple of days before - don't think Torres's injury would have been known at that stage
