stressederic Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Be nice if we could play a big part in getting them relegated.
Ethan Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Is there going to be something from the KOP for Bobby Robson tomorrow? I think I remember there being plans to do something for him
Cam Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Carragher, Skrtel & Agger have all been individually questionable lately. I'd start with Hyypia. Plus some others, obviously. About 10 of them.
stressederic Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Erm... the Daily Mail are reporting that Torres did his hamstring in the week and hasn't been able to train much over the last 72 hours. Anyone heard anything?
Sion Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Newcastle are staying in The Vincent in Woolsville tonight for some strange reason. Not like there's no fancy hotels in town for them to stay in. Edited May 2, 2009 by Sion
Zoob Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Erm... the Daily Mail are reporting that Torres did his hamstring in the week and hasn't been able to train much over the last 72 hours. Anyone heard anything? I'm hoping that the Mail are talking crap, but if he's managed to train at all, it means the injury can't be too bad, so perhaps he should be on the bench. We beat them 5-1 without Torres last time, if need be should be able to beat them again without Torres. But if he has hurt his hamstring again, it's a bit of a worry, and absurd that he's only going to get 3 weeks break this summer.
Barnesy_10 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 If it's true then is that 3 or 4 times it's happened this season?
Zoob Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 If it's true then is that 3 or 4 times it's happened this season? Yep, and is the kind of injury that needs sustained rest in order to make a full recovery. I think if Torres had been fit the whole season (or hadn't missed / been unfit for almost half our games) we would have won the league. We need him rested recovered and fit for next season and the combination of the confererations cup and our far east tours, are just a disgrace.
Dan Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) If it is true i hope to God we pull him out of the Confederations Cup in the summer. Edited May 2, 2009 by DS77
Zoob Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Can't find anything on the Daily Mail website on this. unfortunately, it's here, in the paragraph just under the pic of Owen
Coyler Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 AAAAAIIIIIIEEEEE! What the f*** are they burying it in there for? Balls.
Herbie von Smalls Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 bascombe is reporting torres' absence (as an exclusive)
Barnesy_10 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 bascombe is reporting torres' absence (as an exclusive)as is Elisha in the transfer forum. Whoever agreed to the deal that Torres must play in the summer friendlies needs a slap. Bet it was Parry as a final farewell.
Zoob Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 as is Elisha in the transfer forum. Whoever agreed to the deal that Torres must play in the summer friendlies needs a slap. Bet it was Parry as a final farewell. hopefully it will specify that Torres has to play 90 minutes of every game of the tour.

floyd Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 With Nando being injured, this will probably see Nemeth on the bench, as he wasn't even named in the last reserve game.
MFletcher Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Good an opportunity as any. I reckon Agger will start, and we'll play a front four of Benayoun, Gerrard, Riera and Kuyt.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 expect Newcastle to park the bus. It's their best chance
Ethan Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 With Nando being injured, this will probably see Nemeth on the bench, as he wasn't even named in the last reserve game. that was probably more to do with him playing in the cup final a couple of days before - don't think Torres's injury would have been known at that stage
Sion Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Gerrard and Torres are the same personthat's why they never play with each other
Metro Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 ReiraArbeloa Carra Agger InsuaAlonso MaschKuyt Gerrard BenayounNgog Reira in goal? Christ! we have no chance.... Please don't say Ngog is going to play up front again.....
