richwilks Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Potential bananas skin for the mancs here. Middlesbrough are known to raise their game against the big guns and will be fighting for their lives. Utd haven't got a particularly good record there in recent years either. Ferguson hinted at resting his midfielders and strikers for this game as well. Couple of Manc mates of mine see this as their trickiest remaining fixture
CarraLegend Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 They'll probably get completely outclassed until a ref intervenes.
Sion Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 exactly. no point getting your hopes up, even if Boro score. Best you can do if that happens is lump on a United win.
ManxRed Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Out of interest, who has Ferguson selected as referee tomorrow?
ManxRed Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Good. He's no more biased than some others he could have picked.
richwilks Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Out of interest, who has Ferguson selected as referee tomorrow? The legend that is Mark Halsey.
MarkD Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 The legend that is Mark Halsey. Can see the yellow ticker on SSN - "Breaking news; Halsey's palsy causes him to withdraw - so Webb starts for United"
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 just been wondering about my other thread - to back the Mancs to win... I think they'll put out a pish team tomorrow, with Arsenal in mind: Fostersomeone - Vidic - evans - someone else Nani - anderson - scholes - park the fish - tevez So maybe Boro can some away with something. Like only a 4-0 defeat
Andy @ Allerton Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Boro have no chance of winning this game. I now have 7 seperate bets on the Mancs to win. It's a foregone conclusion.
ManxRed Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Boro 2 scum 11.(corals 28-1 Get on!) Fixed that for you.
Bootser Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 just been wondering about my other thread - to back the Mancs to win... Like only a 4-0 defeat Ryan 'Part player of the Year' Giggs surely. Boro to win 1- 0 because there is a God.
CarraLegend Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Boro 2 Filth 3 Downing 23, Tuncay 79, Ronaldo 86 (3times retaken pen), Ronaldo 92 (2times retaken pen), Ronaldo 102 (2 times retaken pen)
Barnesy_10 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Ryan 'Part player of the Year' Giggs surely. Boro to win 1- 0 because there is a God.Wes Orange is back for them, wonder if he's recovered from the game at ours where Riera took the piss out of him. That Afonso guy is shocking, hope he's on the bench
Sion Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Foster, O'Shea, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Park, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Berbatov, Macheda. hmmmmmmmmm
psl Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Still strong enough, probably. And if they're not winning, the ref will give them a penalty or two.
John am Rhein Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Boro playing quite well that's probably in the script
CarraLegend Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Man Utd playing basketball but not getting penalised. The shock!
Sion Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Man Utd playing basketball but not getting penalised. The shock!Being given pretty much everything as usual
Andy @ Allerton Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Rooney stamps on a player. Nothing. Then he boots him on the floor. Nothing. Then backheels him on the floor. Nothing. I really believe these chaps that say the league isn't corrupt they're SO right.
