BUT if you were Rafa/the players and staff/a suporter of LFC, would you want your captain

 

a)in the TV studio?

 

or

 

b)would you want him in the dressing room and then on the bench to lend crucial support to the team for a must-win game at the climax of the season?

I thought it was a little odd, but he handled himself well. Thing is, he never seems comfortable in front of the camera, so why put yourself there?

Injured players don't tend to be on the bench do they? In the stand normally. And i don't see what difference it makes him being in the stand and him being in a studio

I didn't see the problem with it. I thought he handled himself well.

 

It's not as if it affected the performance either. Gerrard in the dressing room or Gerrard in the studio, he can't stop Mascherano, Arbeloa and Aurelio from passing to the other side.

just wondering though - he's part of the fabric of the club and he's desperate for us to stay in the title hunt and yet he parades himself in front of the viewers when he could have been lending support to the team instead

The first thing that i thought of when i saw him there was how on earth is he going to handle himself in the studio if we lose. He did well though.

 

It felt like a loss last night but to be honest hearing him speak after the game gave me a tiny glimmer of hope after feeling absolutely desperate at the final whistle.

You'd think Sky would get them either better chairs or a bigger table to sit round. It's ridiculous seeing them struggle to sit up in those chairs and must be uncomfortable having their meat and two veg squashed in like that.

I don't want to criticise the man because he is a god, but, but....I can't relate to him wanting to be with Keys and co. on this occasion

 

The potential impact of the result of this match was so enormous in terms of Steven Gerrard's career that I don't know how he could bare to be anywhere, but within the bosom of his brethren.

 

When we're not at matches we've always got a choice as to where we watch the game. Do we choose a neutral pub full of partially interested strangers, or do we prefer the company of mates who also support the same team ?
