Its not something that I am proud of but I think it would be better for us if the Mancs were to win tonight. It will mean that they will continue their attentions elsewhere and provide them with another two games outside of the League.

Hopefully it will drain their players and pick up a couple of vital injuries!

I've been saying that all along. Mancs on penalties after extra time. It means then they have to face Spurs two/three days before the first leg of the CL semi. Distraction, weakend side, it all gives us a better chance.

If we weren't hoping for the Mancs to falter I'd want them to lose but we are a long way behind, we need them to have many balls in the air to sneak this. A draw on Sunday would be nice as well.

Just plain wrong. It's not tiredness that will get them, the squad can handle all comps.

It's lack of belief, wobbles and panic. Any game they don't win from now on is good news.

Don't agree with the principle as I think we need them rocking as much as possible.

Furthermore, even if I thought the principle was sound, there's no way I wouldn't be cheering like hell if they lose. They could win all the major trophies this year and move on to 19-4 in so doing. We need them out ASAP.

I tend to agree with that idea that a two legged semi would drain them a bit. I'm also wary of the fact that it might give them a psychological boost to get through against Porto. The semi final of the European cup might inspire some of their players to find their form. Going out tonight, continuing to concede goals might damage their confidence in the league.

You have to question the strength of either potential semi-final opponents and how difficult a test that would be in preventing the Mancs getting to another final.

Porto have been underestimated though, if they play to their full ability then they will score goals against that Man U defence.

Everton are well up for that.

extra time and a defeat on penalties would do. Lets just hope Everton go hard in the tackle and Ronney sees red.

Although I can see where the OP is coming from, the sooner their 'quintuple' dream fades away the better. I actually think Porto will go through. 1-1 draw this evening.

Hopefully the bluesh*te will further erode the 5-trophy dream at the weekend.

Not much chance of that; Gollum is already applying liberal doses of Vaseline, as we speak.

Extra time, in which they score their first and concede a stupid equaliser after 118 minutes would be nicest

However, we all know they'll go through and meet one of Barca/Chelsea in the final

I hope they go to extra time, pick up a couple of vital injuries and lose 13-12 on penalties and then pick up some more injuries in a post-match brawl

Are you mad? United would be going into a semi-final with one of the poorer sides left in the competition and would likely make the final. I'm not having them winning the European Cup again. They have to go out. Immediately.
