I'm strongly against the honours system. It perpetuates the "class" thing and is too political. Glad he hasn't got a knighthood.

If he did get one you know he wouldn't expect everyone to call him 'Sir' like that 'socialist' Ginsoak seems to enjoy so much. (To be fair to Brooking, by the way, he didn't get it so much for his playing career as he did for his work on the sports council, and, to his credit, he was so critical of politicians during his time there that some tried to block his KBE.)
