Wilbur Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Markus Babbel is to remain as coach of Stuttgart until 2010, the Bundesliga club have announced. The 36-year-old had his contract extended by a year after the German Football Association (DFB) accepted his application to enrol in their next coaching course, which starts this summer... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...mp;&cc=5901 It is always pleasing to see Reds go on to managing. Congratulations, Markus, and good luck on the coaching course.
fred Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I have a lot of time for Markus Babbel. If his coaching career goes well, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the dugout in our new stadium some day....

Benzo-13 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Agreed as well. Super player for us and really loved his time here.
charlie clown Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Can't believe he's still only 36 as well. Tragic the way his playing career was curtailed. Hope he makes a go of it. Wouldn't mind seeing him back here one day.
