Rafael Benitez has urged Liverpool fans all over the world to buy the brand new 'Fields of Anfield Road' single - which has today been released to help raise awareness of the Hillsborough disaster.

 

Starring many former Liverpool players, local musicians and members of the Hillsborough Families Support Group, the single is available to buy as a CD or to download online right now.

 

"I was lucky enough to be at the launch of the single and I think it is fantastic," said the Liverpool manager.

 

"My message to our fans is to go out and buy it because it's for a very, very good cause. We must never forget the Liverpool fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough."

I tried to purchase the CD via the online shop where it was listed as preorder. When I confirmed my order and tried to place it, I was told to remove the CD from my order as it was sold out. I then clicked on the product again and it was still listed as preorder. Weird and annoying as I really would like to avoid iTunes.

 

Anyone experienced the same problem?

I got mine from HMV online this morning, the Hubby tried to get one late this afters and they were sold out.

I got it on US iTunes - it wasn't there yesterday but was today. I guess foreign purchases don't count for the UK charts though?

£3.16 for the whole EP, or 79p for the single. You don't need a Credit/Debit card to buy from iTunes either... if you have a BT phoneline you can pay through that (they add it onto your bill) or you can pay through a direct debit.
