Herbie von Smalls Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 yossi - brief appearance, but was gunning for a goal as soon as he came onxabi - bossed midfieldthe doss - great first half honourable mention to insua. thought lucas was quietly efficient too.
_00_deathscar Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) I'm not one for giving it to match winners, but I think Yossi's earned it here. What a MASSIVE goal. Oh, and clear in 2nd place is A@A for the assist. Edited April 4, 2009 by _00_deathscar
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Benayoun: made the differenceAlonso: every time the ball came to him you knew a crisp first touch pass was comingGerrard: not the best game he's ever had but a constant menace - 2 great crosses that deserved to be finished Thought Reina was absolute class, caught everything. Had Torres' first half shot gone the other side of the post or he'd manage to connect with Stevie's cross we'd have been praising him yet again.
Sion Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) 1) Benayoun2) Lucas - deffo plays better away from home3) Alonso Insua did well, solid againDossena was unlucky not to score too Edited April 4, 2009 by Sion
surf Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 benayounxabi third is hard to pick, but i'll go for insua
bazz Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Thought Alonso completely bossed everything out there today - so he's my MOTM
Snookie Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) AlonsoYossiDossena Really impressed with the Doss over the last month. He's got dog's abuse and yet you can see he has heart and so much pride. Its in some ways the story of the season. Aurelio wasn't good enough earlier in the season and yet he's been exceptional for the last while. Last year, Kuyt was according to some the worst player we have ever had. This year he has been exceptional. The negative view; it says everything about modern fandom. The positive; it proves beyond doubt that Rafa has re-established the mentality you expect of a Liverpool team. They never hide, they always try, they never give up. Edited April 4, 2009 by Snookie
