Andy @ Allerton Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Given his idiotic comments to the media after getting injured playing in a stupid meaningless friendly, I Want him out of the club ASAP. Clearly doesn't want to play for the club and shouldn't be given the opportunity to ever do so again. Let him rot in the reserves and get him on the transfer list ASAP. IF we can ship him out - get him out on loan to anyone that'll have him. As far as I'm concerned he can't get thrown out of the club soon enough.

Getting rid of Yossi if fine on principle, but we need to replace him with someone more effective ..... who ? Yossi can play anyone of the 3 positions behind Torres - not many players WE CAN AFFORD can do that well
Falconhoof Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 I think its vital that we over react to every piece of news. 'harumph'
Hieronymus Bosch Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Link I was right to play for Israel, insists injured Yossi BenayounMar 30 2009 by Nick Smith, Liverpool Daily Post YOSSI BENAYOUN insists he made the right decision in playing for Israel on Saturday – despite being carried off injured. The Liverpool midfielder was already giving manager Rafael Benitez cause for concern ahead of the World Cup qualifier with Greece by stating his intention to play despite missing two weeks of club action with a hamstring injury. Although it was a calf strain that forced Benayoun to depart during the 1-1 draw, Benitez will be far from impressed that his player made his return to action for his country. The Spaniard must now wait for news on the extent of the injury today, as well as hoping the remainder of his international contingent return unscathed for the start of the Premier League title run-in. Benayoun, who will be assessed ahead of Israel’s return game in Greece on Wednesday, said: "I made the right decision, and that’s it. We hope we’ll win in Greece, but a draw isn’t that bad either. Still, our aim is to win in Crete."
owenthomas Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) haven't seen the comments either.. this will be interesting........................... EDIT: just saw post above now.. is that it? Edited March 30, 2009 by owenthomas
fred milne Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Clearly doesn't want to play for the club.Yes. That's very clear.
Boca Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Isn't he supposed to be fit for Wednesday night anyway? If so, I fail to see what the issue is.
Bigal Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 haven't seen the comments either.. this will be interesting........................... EDIT: just saw post above now.. is that it? my thoughts exactly. some people are daft

I remember we didnt get compensation when Redknapp got injured on international duty ( I think French players are the least insured)
magneto Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Given his idiotic comments to the media after getting injured playing in a stupid meaningless friendly Was a world cup qualifier. If Israel had won theyd be top of the group.
Andy @ Allerton Posted March 30, 2009 Author Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) Was a world cup qualifier. If Israel had won theyd be top of the group. Great. Hope that he and his country are very happy together. As long as he never gets to play for Liverpool FC again - where his interests clearly don't lie after being told by LFC medical staff and the manager not to play. His choices should be LFC first, second, third, fourth and fifth. If he's more interested in play for his country then fine - play all you like matey boy - just not for us. If Mascherano had been advised by the manager and LFC medical staff not to go and he'd chosen to go then yes I would have wanted him sold. But that didn't happen.
John am Rhein Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 As long as he never gets to play for Liverpool FC again - where his interests clearly don't lie after being told by LFC medical staff and the manager not to play. Certainly should be some kind of punishment for that - fine two weeks' wages, perhaps.
fred milne Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 If Mascherano had been advised by the manager and LFC medical staff not to go.Where does it say that Rafa and our medical staff told Yossi not to go?

But that didn't happen. That happened to Babel, we advised him not to go because of an ankle injury and he still went.
richwilks Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 That happened to Babel, we advised him not to go because of an ankle injury and he still went. And to be fair I'd love him to be sold.
matty Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 If only everyone saw the world the way Andy sees it. It would be a much more......erm........well, that is........er.......AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH
