Cunny Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 gives the mancs two weeks to think about their two defeats and our formwe play Fulham the day before the mancs play Villa, so we could be top the next time the mancs play

madaboutlfc Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 lets hope our boys are rested and come back fully fit and roaring.. a break can be good if we take into consideration the energy we have put in
Falconhoof Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Mascherano will be involved for Argentina against Bolivia (28th) and then Colombia (1st April)Unlikely to start at Fulham on the 4th.

He might try and get him through it because he's banned in the CL, then again he might try what we'll do for the CL game, Lucas im assuming. So err f*** knows! Edited March 22, 2009 by CarraLegend

Away to Bolivia, K.O. 20.30 GMT and then a flight back the next day ? Into Heathrow, absolutely banjaxed on the Thursday evening. Light training on the Friday before the game. Is Lucas in the Brazil squad for their qualifiers ?

I think it can be done, it's a late game, it's more a question of getting back on some kind of UK time. We're down in London anyway so I'm sure he'll stay there.
Stevie H Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 bolivia's that match that's played at mad altitude isn't it? could see mascherano not being right for fulham in that case.

Makes more sense as to why Utd aren't moving their game against Villa to the Saturday then - If Berbas**** is injured they'll need Tevez available to them and 1245 KO on the Saturday would not work - hopefully Porto can take advantage of all this

Thought there was already a live game on at that time and it was set in stone
Falconhoof Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 It says here (ESPN) that Lucas is NOT in the Brazil squad for these qualifiers. Anderson and Elano are though. For my money that makes Lucas nailed on for the Fulham game.

Thought there was already a live game on at that time and it was set in stone It was an option but they'd have to play early game at 1245 on the Saturday for TV - word is that Fergie is none too happy about SKY scheduling our game at OT early on the Saturday and he has refused to give them anymore interviews much like what he has done to the beeb - the man is cracking up
ali Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Fred's going to have is work cut out against Turkey, both Villa and Silva in rehab although still expected to join up with squad tomorrow, Villa hasn't played for few weeks and Silva was also out at the weekend. Guiza's been injured and that only leaves young Llorente fit and Fred.Iniesta's out as well, could mean Reira and Xabi also getting a hammering. Grim
Johnny Red Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I think this international break is bad. It interrupts the winning roll that we are on.It also gives the Mancs an opportunity to take a breath and get their act together.
stressederic Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Each day that goes by leaves me more and more frustrated about this break in the schedule. These things very rarely arrive at a good moment but it certainly has for United and the worst moment imaginable for us. Hell after Sunday I would have been annoyed if we'd had to wait until Saturday to play again, a mid-week game would have been perfect.
