Maldini Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 There's a national public servants strike here on the 30th and I work for a company who provide a specific service for the council (not going into specifics, you never now who's reading). Anyway, the council have told us they expect us in on the 30th because we're not part of the union which puts us in an awkward position. There's no way I'm crossing a picket line, but some of the others I work with don't give a f*** and have said they'll be going to work as normal. I can't really pull a sicky because there's only one other guy among us who can do my job and he's about as reluctant to pass the line as I am. I'm prepared to take the day off without pay if need be. I know I probably haven't a leg to stand on, but any advice?
