spacemonkey Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Didn't see the first half of the Gala game against Hamburg but saw the replay of Kewell's penalty. Rather strangely, Kewell has played the entire second half at centre back! If he were just a bit younger, Rafa might have been in for him.
spacemonkey Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 Ah, maybe not after all. Kewell plays Olic onside for the 3-2. What on earth the manager was thinking playing him there is anyone's guess.
Zoob Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Kewell at centre back. You wouldn't even try that kind of s*** on Football Manager
Damian_de Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 He played centre back in the first game too after Asik (the first choice) got sent off.
Roarcelona Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Funnily enough he earned rave reviews after having to play there in the first game after one of Gala's defenders got sent off. Bizarre. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/socceroos/k...ve-role-176993/ Edited March 20, 2009 by rossk
Gilps Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Kewell at centre back. Heskey at right back. What a back 4 we might have had.
Gilps Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Yon Reece played CB for Roma v Arsenal too We're nearly there. Who plays left back?
Bigal Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 We're nearly there. Who plays left back? I remember Gerrard played left back against city away in 2001 treble season. while zeige was on the f***ing bench
Snookie Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 a back four of traore, riise, kewell and heskey.....what dreams are made of
Kahnee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 a back four of traore, riise, kewell and heskey.....what dreams are made of In keeping with the theme, put Biscan at left-back and play Traore as the defensive midfielder. Traore at left-back is just madness talk
_00_deathscar Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 On the subs bench, we have Diao to cover for any problems at centre back.
floyd Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Paul Stewart up front. Now, you realy are taking the pi55 Edited March 20, 2009 by floyd
Snookie Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 with Diouf up front to partner Stewart and Julian Dicks pushed up to play on the left wing then you've got a potentially league winning team
D.Boon Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Id prefer Pennant as the holding midfielder. His tenancity, workrate and aggression would really suit the role.
Kahnee Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Id prefer Pennant as the holding midfielder. His tenancity, workrate and aggression would really suit the role. Traore on the right wing?
carrafan Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 And Robbie Keane up front. That will top it all.
Kahnee Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 And Robbie Keane up front. That will top it all. That;s just crazy enough to work
