JonShar Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 And this, this is a nice picture to see from the theatre of prawns. GO ON YOU REDMEN, what a great result!
Dee Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 living in Manc this is sweet! the neighbours next door are mancs and a lot of kicking and shouting was heard! I'm about to play YNWA at slightly increased levels!
Falconhoof Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Great picturea manc fan here in the pub in Traffordshire was shouting that he should have been sent off when he kissed the camera. They had a bad afternoon, it was a joy to hear them slag of everyone but Tevez.
surf Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 tevez is the player from their team i'd be delighted to have at ours
Billy Dane Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 What's with the Manc fan taking a photo of Gerrard kissing the camera?
JonShar Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 He's probably going to say Stevie punched him. What a brilliant afternoon, loved his celebration after that penalty, a true Scousers celebration at that pit.
Benitez Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 despite wanting to kill Ian Dowie, i really enjoyed that match
abc Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 despite wanting to kill Ian Dowie, i really enjoyed that match Harsh red card...
Zoob Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 What's the Sky reaction been like? just curious - have they given us any credit, or was it all because United were so bad?United's attacking performance today was like so many in those games where they've scraped wins - ok, but nothing special. Their defending today was terrible, but part of that was because of how we pressured them.
Benitez Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Harsh red card... all of it, I wanted to strangle him He was having to correct himself all game from calling Ferguson 'Fergie' and various Manc players by their first names! Added to the whole 'All Liverpool's goals are from mistakes', 'Not like they played well, United just had a bad day' blah fecin blah! But hey, who gives a s**** now. And at least I got to see the game on a faultless stream!

abc Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) all of it, I wanted to strangle him He was having to correct himself all game from calling Ferguson 'Fergie' and various Manc players by their first names! Added to the whole 'All Liverpool's goals are from mistakes', 'Not like they played well, United just had a bad day' blah fecin blah! But hey, who gives a s**** now. And at least I got to see the game on a faultless stream! He did have a point about us not having to play that well. I didn't think we were fantastic, there were laboured and sloppy play from us too. But when we got into dangerous areas we were good enough to make it count. I really think if we hadn't won at Anfield earlier in the season, we would not have been able to recover from today's game. We weren't exuding confidence, but equally we didn't let our shoulders drop like we have in past seasons. What we did really well though, was put them under some pressure. The result of that was simple - they made mistakes, some bad ones too. And we had the players to capitalise. We had enough players turn up today and put in good performances. Stevie, Torres, Fabio, Dirk and Sami for me were our better players. Too often in the past we just didn't have the big game appetite. Lucas got around the pitch and did well too. I'd love for Rafa to come out and say something along the lines of "Everyone says they are impossible to score against, but I told my players to go out there and put pressure on them, fight for every ball. We scored a few goals because they panicked under pressure. They are not invincible. For us to have a chance other teams need to realise this." Edited March 14, 2009 by abc

shabirmia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 What's with the Manc fan taking a photo of Gerrard kissing the camera? If you look at the pic closely you'll realise that it's the away end, and those are 'Pool supporters (just to shatter your illusion, like)
Benitez Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) If you look at the pic closely you'll realise that it's the away end, and those are 'Pool supporters (just to shatter your illusion, like) so why is the guy behind him giving SteG the V's? Edited March 14, 2009 by Benitez
shabirmia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 If you look at the pic closely you'll realise that it's the away end, and those are 'Pool supporters (just to shatter your illusion, like) Of course I could be horribly wrong
