psl Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Absolutely awesome. My one regret from last night is that he didn't stick that away as it would have been an unbelievable goal. Even in an injury hit season, the man has produced some wonderful bits of skill and a fair few goals.

richwilks Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Just needed to lift it and it was in. Quality bit of skill though, he looked really up for it tonight. Very first minute he was trying to run round everyone. Him and Gerrard in top form are simply unstoppable and it's a credit to the rest of the squad really that we've done so well in the league with the two of them missing large chunks. Say that quietly though.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 don't know which goal it was, but did anyone see Masch's mental celebration (again). I MUST get a gif of that

Leo No.8 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Reminded me a bit of that Bergkamp goal against Newcastle, incredible piece of individual skill. Against a guy who has been acknowledged as one of the best centre halves of a generation and voted world football of the year as well. Not only was it brilliant, but it set the tone of the game. Madrid never recovered from that initial shock.
CaptainXabi Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 don't know which goal it was, but did anyone see Masch's mental celebration (again). I MUST get a gif of thatThe Doss'. Mascherano is certainly borderline mental, in a lovable way though.
timbos goals Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Absolutely awesome. My one regret from last night is that he didn't stick that away as it would have been an unbelievable goal. Even in an injury hit season, the man has produced some wonderful bits of skill and a fair few goals. It was breathtaking. It was heart-stopping. You had to rub your eyes in disbelief. It deserves it's own title a la the Cruyff funny turn. How's about the Nando pivot.

Mike Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 it made me scared. he opened another dimension with that turn and i felt unsure about everything.
timbos goals Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 The Cannavaro 'new-a******-tearing'? He did seem to walk a bit funny for the rest of the game. I thought he just had one leg shorter than the other.
timbos goals Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 it made me scared. he opened another dimension with that turn and i felt unsure about everything. To boldly go where no man has been before. Phasers on stun.
