CarraLegend Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 f***ing typical http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...r.html?ITO=1490
Earl Hafler Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Oh for f***'s sake !!! This is happening too much. All similar injuries.
Alonso Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Kuyt Gerrard Babel N'Gog Torres for N'Gog if he's fit.
Lark Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Could always play inusa left back and aurilio in midfield for this game. Reira back for the rest.
David Hodgson Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Kuyt Gerrard Babel N'Gog Torres for N'Gog if he's fit. That's our first choice, virtually, from last season if Torres is fit. Yossi's come a long way to be lamented like this.
Metro Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Could always play inusa left back and aurilio in midfield for this game. Reira back for the rest. A good call. I'll go with that.
carrafan Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 A good call. I'll go with that. Insua hasnt been registered for the CL knock outs. We'll have to play Dossena and Aurelio if you want to fullbacks patrolling Robben.
CarraLegend Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 A good call. I'll go with that. Insua isnt registered.
spacemonkey Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Suspect it'll be Insua and Aurelio down the left with Babel and Ngog vying for the spot up front if Torres doesn't make it.
Chili Palmer Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Superb, that is. I'd rather have Aurelio up against Robben anyway. Insua might have been too inexperienced for all the antics.
kop205 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 That's our first choice, virtually, from last season if Torres is fit. Yossi's come a long way to be lamented like this. Pretty much what I was thinking. Not ideal losing Benayoun, he's a decent player and been in good form, but there are a number of people I'd have hated to lose before him.
kop205 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Superb, that is. To be honest, had he registered 3 left backs (especially when Arbeloa and Carra have both performed respectably there as well) then eyebrows would have been raised, especialy if it meant leaving somone like Sami out again, which it probably would have done. If what you are saying is that Insua should have been registered ahead of Dossena then that is a different point I suppose, albeit a slightly moot one. I don't think Dossena is as bad as some have made out, and I think people have gone a bit overboard on Insua (though I do like him) on the basis of a couple of good games before he then went off with Argentina.
MFletcher Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 You don't register three left backs for a Champions League squad, none of whom are home grown players. That would be ridiculous. Three of the 17 non-HG players occupied by left backs? Do give over.
Earl Hafler Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I'd rather have Aurelio up against Robben anyway. Insua might have been too inexperienced for all the antics. We're too protective of young players. Lack of first team football means they don't progress as fast or as far as at Man Utd or Arsenal. Some of the seniors have stank the place out for weeks yet kept their place. And lol at Carralegend.
Metro Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Suspect it'll be Insua and Aurelio down the left with Babel and Ngog vying for the spot up front if Torres doesn't make it. Rafa seems to have a fixation about playing Ngog. Frankly, think we can forget about winning if he is picked in place of Torres.
muleskinner Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Rafa seems to have a fixation about playing Ngog. Frankly, think we can forget about winning if he is picked in place of Torres. He won't be picked in place of Torres will he? His injury may keep him out but he won't be dropped for Ngog FFS.
CarraLegend Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Rafa seems to have a fixation about playing Ngog. Frankly, think we can forget about winning if he is picked in place of Torres. Jesus H Christ!
MFletcher Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Aye, because we'd drop Torres if he was fit to play Ngog.
