Chili Palmer Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 So Owen is better than Torres?? thats just odd plus its been kinda hard to have a Torres final for one simple reason.
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I never said better, I said impact which he did again more revisionist nonsense. Owen was good for Liverpool. And for the record Fowler in his pomp WAS better than Torres in my opinion Fowler is the best striker I have ever seen.

Chili Palmer Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 and far more bumable, or is that just me? thats what swung it for me.
Woodsyla Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Fowler is the best striker I have ever seen. For me, Henry is the best I've seen.
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 For me, Henry is the best I've seen. didnt see him week in week out. Week in week out Robbie is the best I have seen Go robbie go robbie go
Woodsyla Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 didnt see him week in week out. Week in week out Robbie is the best I have seen Go robbie go robbie goNeither did I, I remember one game, I think we might even have won 4-0 and Henry should have had a hat-trick in the first 5 mins. He was electric. I didn't see him week in week out but I saw enough of Henry to realise what a seriously good player he was. I only caught the end of Fowler (my ST started when GH came in as joint manager) so don't have the week in week out experience and he was phenomenal but I think Henry's gears swung it for me. Torres reminds me of Henry in that respect, stationary to flying in the blink of an eye.

Deadly. Did it more than once too, villa home when he embarassed staunton, arsenal at home.......just deadly. Edited March 6, 2009 by Bigal

Craig (mate of mine who is a villa fan for the rest of the forum) arrived 5 minutes late in that game Villa were 3-0 down
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Craig (mate of mine who is a villa fan for the rest of the forum) arrived 5 minutes late in that game Villa were 3-0 down Ha ha!! He hates robbie with a passion as well IIRC

johngibo YPC Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Ha ha!! He hates robbie with a passion as well IIRC So he should the amount of goals he used to score against them. I remember being in the home end when he scored a hattrick at Villa Park
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 So he should the amount of goals he used to score against them. I remember being in the home end when he scored a hattrick at Villa Park WON 4-2?

Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Good point, silky skills and electric pace are not the be all and end all !!! not for a striker. Fowler wasnt quick in his prime, but was never done for pace either.
Woodsyla Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 not for a striker. Fowler wasnt quick in his prime, but was never done for pace either.Agreed, he was fast enough that given half a yard he wouldn't get caught and strong as well. One of my favourite Fowler goals is when he shrugs of Neville before slotting it past Rudolph.

johngibo YPC Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 WON 4-2? Thats the one. Collymore playing for Villa the massive bellend
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Thats the one. Collymore playing for Villa the massive bellend now, in the home end, I could sit on my hands when we score, when he tried to break harkness's leg, I would have a problem
johngibo YPC Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 now, in the home end, I could sit on my hands when we score, when he tried to break harkness's leg, I would have a problem My Dad screamed that he usually hits women. That went down well
Bigal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 My Dad screamed that he usually hits women. That went down well in his trademark brummy accent?
_00_deathscar Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 For me, Henry is the best I've seen. The real Ronaldo was sublime.
D.Boon Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I think Shearer in his prime was the best i have seen. He was awesome, big, strong, great in the air, scorer of easy and brilliant goals. Could put it about as well.
Woodsyla Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 The real Ronaldo was sublime.I meant, seen as in I was there he was on the pitch in front of me.
