Boca Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 and possibly longer The Liverpool boss said: "With Torres, we don't know. Probably, he will miss some games. "We have one game in three days' time (at Middlesbrough) so it will be difficult for him to be ready." a.top_betting_link_1 {background-image: url('/Images/skysports/fixturecal/icons/fix-bet.gif');background-repeat:no-repeat;background-position:0% 50%;padding-left:18px;}
Reggie Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Cant see Stevie starting either on Saturday. Its Babel's chance now to prove he's a striker. Rafa will probably play Ngog though.
adiman Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Surprised there is so little reaction to Torres being out. I feel our admittedly remote chances of catching United went out the window when he picked up that ankle knock. Personally, I hope Kuyt gets the main attacking position on Saturday with Gerrard behind and Yossi on the right and Babel on the left or vice versa.

I'm more worried by a lack of Gerrard.
Stevie H Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 when he's not fully fit and knows it torres looks angry at the world.
lfc003 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I would play Babel up top, He's a much better option than N'gog
Eskimo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 when he's not fully fit and knows it torres looks angry at the world. aye gave Pepe some verbals an all last night, c*** deserved it mind as he called him hijo de puta.
Chili Palmer Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 aye gave Pepe some verbals an all last night, c*** deserved it mind as he called him hijo de puta. what is that?
Woodsyla Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) what is that?I think it translates as son of a bitch but I think in Spain it's more like saying 'Your mother is a whore' My Spanish is well dodgy though so it could say ' Hope you score today, kid' Edited February 26, 2009 by Woodsyla
Bailo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 when he's not fully fit and knows it torres looks angry at the world.Snarly angry Nando makes me sad inside.
Eskimo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I think it translates as son of a bitch but I think in Spain it's more like saying 'Your mother is a whore' Close but no cigar, it does mean "son of a whore" and it is our equivalent of son of a bitch..
Chili Palmer Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Snarly angry Nando makes me sad inside. My wife likes him like that, the blues**** made him angry at Goodison this year and he scored two. of course, when I say my wife, I mean me.
Woodsyla Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Close but no cigar, it does mean "son of a whore" and it is our equivalent of son of a bitch..Ah, knew it was something in that vicinity. So actually less insulting than it sounds rather than what I said.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 What are you f***ing people? Amateurs? WHERE'S THE f***ING TEAM FORMATION THINGY?
Eskimo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Ah, knew it was something in that vicinity. So actually less insulting than it sounds rather than what I said. No its still pretty insulting although it has lost some of its bite over the years. I guess like all insults/swear words the more they are used etc etc
Molby Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 What are you f***ing people? Amateurs? WHERE'S THE f***ING TEAM FORMATION THINGY? ---------Reina-------- ----Carra ---- Agger if fit----Skrtel ---Arby----Xabi-----Gerrard---Aurelio --------------Yossi---------------- -------------Kuyt---------Babel-------- subs: Masch, Ngog, Hyppia, Cavalieiri, PACHECO subs:
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I think The Tog & Mr Gerrard may be on the bench come Sat... where does that leave us? Lucas? 3-at-the-back? Same as yesterday with Babel starting?
anfieldgaz Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) Keane to start then.....................oh sorry he was sold wasn't he!! :bleh: In all seriousness though, why was he left on the pitch for so long? if he was injured, i cant understand it Edited February 26, 2009 by anfieldgaz
Rich Gobey Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I dont think we'll the best of Torres until next season, he looks like he needs a few months of recuperation and rest. I know we're still in a league title race but I'd like to see him given the proper time off to get back to full fitness and firing on all cylinders next season. A fully fit Torres would have been the difference for us this year without question and we need him if we are going to take the step on from challengers to champions next season.
Cam Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Lucas? 3-at-the-back?It's only 'Boro with Alves. Just play Carra at the back and let Pepe realise his dream in midfield in a 1-6-4 formation.

Spain are involved in the cup of nations this summer and Torres will be involved, so he may not have a lengthy rest!
