Why are we so good against good teams?

The team is set up to play against top teams that come out against us, we have hard workers all over the pitch and a very solid defence and central midfield. We have players like Torres and Gerrard that are devastating with a bit of space on the counter.

 

When teams sit back and dont try and play against us we lack the top quality attacking players to break them down consistently. But thats an easier problem to solve compared to trying to build a team thats so good against the elite clubs in Europe.

 

Really hope the ownership issue gets sorted, we get somebody in that gives Rafa (assuming hes still here) decent money to spend (a few million more a season than a stable Man Utd isn't enough to close the gap) and lets bring in those attacking players that will make a difference against teams that don't want to play against us.
