I want him to sign a new contract ASAP, I really hope the situation is resolved quickly, then we can get Agger, kuyt and Arbeloa to sign new contracts as well

i'm not at the stage of wanting him to go, but i'm leaning towards the 'don't give him a massive contract just yet' stage.

i think the fact i don't want him to go is also added to by the lack of available wc coaches out there.

absolutely sign a new long term contract, back him to the hilt with cash and watch us win everything. Can't believe the s*** on here about him to be honest in an environment where you're chasing the pack who are significantly richer than you for us to be anywhere near is a testament to his skill as a manager.

Someone delete this thread. It is doing nothing but harm.

Hassony you should know better, have a word with yourself.

It seems 89% of those who voted so far want him to sign a new contract, which is a good sign surely

For what it's worth I want him to sign a long term contract, but why are people frightened of debate about it?

I get pissed off with all the "Rafa knows best, how dare you question him" nonsense. He's a good, potentially great, manager who has had a lot of money to spend in the transfer market. He's taken us forward but he does make mistakes.

Which isn't '1 more year'. He deserves to be left alone to do his job.

Yes he does. Im not getting in his way by participating in a discussion. The owners do enough of that. The league looks beyond us this year and if we fail to win it for the next 3 i wouldnt necessarily be calling for his head. I would judge the situation as and when it happens. This "In rafa we trust" business goes a bit far when he obviously makes mistakes.

I'll back Rafa through thick and thin. He gave me the greatest night of my life. I don't believe there is anyone better in football and the wheels haven't fallen off like they did in 2004. There is no need to discuss his position IMO.

so many variables here.

1. Another season of this?

2. Do we get rid of the Yanks?

3. Does he get money to spend on the players he wants?

4. How much money will he get?

5. Will he still persist with Lucas?

6. Does Lucas have compromising pictures of Rafa and Sammy?

7. Who is A&A

Rafa to sign a new long term contract [ 70 ] [82.35%]

Rafa to see out the last year of his contract [ 6 ] [7.06%]

Rafa to go in the summer (if we don't win anything) [ 7 ] [8.24%]

Rafa to go now!! his time is up [ 1 ] [1.18%]

A@A [ 1 ] [1.18%]

Good to see that A@A option is doing as well as the rafa to go now.

Both options are equally ludicrous

Don't agree at all with the people saying we shouldn't be having these sort of polls. Results like this (86% currently wanting him to sign long term) are the best possible riposte to the bulls***ters who want Rafa gone.

If it means the likes of 'Spoony' (god what a c***) get the message that we're right behind Rafa then thank God for that.
