Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 3 successive games he's created a goal from there. Keep him there. As soon as that lummox Babel got on, he went left & we lost that rhythm
MFletcher Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 There's a certainly a case for it once Gerrard's back. Until then, we need him on the right so Kuyt can play up front or v.v.

Owen1978 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Babel needs a run, no matter how s*** he's been so far this season Spot on, we need to give him games, make him look like a decent player and hopefullywe can get a decent transfer fee back in the summer!
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Babel's s***. He's f***ing clueless, all he does is run into defenders or hold the ball up until they tackle him
lawrie Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Babel's s***. He's f***ing clueless, all he does is run into defenders or hold the ball up until they tackle him he is, he is and he does but he still somehow managed to score 10 goals last season - could have done with some of them this season
Jim D Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 he is, he is and he does but he still somehow managed to score 10 goals last season - could have done with some of them this season He's gone backwards, get rid.
Billy Dane Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Babel - Try motivating him and giving more than 10 minutes at the end when we are chasing the game. Yossi - MOM today (not too much of a compliment unfortunately, but he is playing as if he is bothered before the other side score)
Cam Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Yossi fell apart when in the box but his workrate, commitment & tackling were excellent today. We need a "... and he's f***ing hard" song about him". I hate Babel; some of the things he did (or didn't do!) when he came on were an absolute disgrace. Edited February 22, 2009 by Cam
Bo Benn Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 When Gerrard's gone I prefer Benny in the middle (Stevie's position). Do not like the sight of Kuyt playing there. Overall deserves a lot of credit for what he has done the last couple of month. Was starting to doubt he didn't have it in him.
Rimbeux Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I've been really impressed with Yossi the last few weeks, he's been the man, stepped up his game and will give us more than Babel for the rest of this season for sure
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I don't hate any of our players, but Yossi has been fizzing in the last month & is creating from the left. Riera didn't look interested today & we lost momentum when Babel came on & took over on the left - which I've never understood; he's right-footed & plays like s*** on the left

Suth Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 He's gone backwards, get rid. i agree, he looks useless. how has he gone so poor? thats what we should be asking eh.
MFletcher Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Babel isn't cutting it. I was enthused by his first year here and expected him to push on, but it's not happening and he's in danger of being sold this summer.
Cam Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I don't think Riera has got *that* much worse. He was okay early in the season - just okay. Some were hyping him up like John Barnes and are now comparing his loss of form from that level. He was just okay and now he's just poor - 6/10 performances to 4/10. Not 9/10 to 2/10

Stevie H Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Agree, should have scored though.the one that hit given in the throat? harsh that, yossi did everything right. in fact, as the commentator said, he hit it too well. not that that's physically possible.
