Dean Bouzanis

I've been watching a lot of youth football recently and have to say that Dean Bouzanis looks a top top keeper.

 

His shot stopping and control of the box is very very good for a young keeper and his handling is superb. I've seen loads of examples of him putting his head in where it hurts as well and his speed off his line is incredible.

 

I think he has a very big future at the club and is certainly one to keep an eye out for. Reading a bit about him, Greece and Australia seem to be battling over which country he represents and both are keen to get him involved with them.

 

Certainly one to keep an eye on. We could have a top keeper coming through the ranks.

Forum lore would suggest that to be way too short. Norman said Shay Given was no bigger that 5 and a half foot. He's in fact also 6' 1"

He's certainly quick. Saw the Bristol Rovers cup game the other day and his speed off his line to block a one on one was incredible, just appeared from nowhere and made a cracking save.

He's like a clone of Pepe, great shot stopper, great distribution and really quick. Obviously they repaired the hair gene though.

Galacsi played for Hereford last night. Had a good game by all accounts, saved a Lee Trundle penatly and kept a clean sheet.

Shocked that Bouzanis didn't get the nod over Hansen for the reserves last night though.

they seem to rotate all available keepers for the reserves

 

I know he made an awful mistake yesterday, but hansen is another good prospect isn't he

 

If Pepe does decide to go back to spain (hopefully not!) I am hopeful that Bouzanis and Galacsi will be able to step up and save us a few millions

re: Bouzanis he looks a great prospect its amazing hes only just turned 18 too, exactly the type of keeper you need in a top team somebody thats quick off his line and a very good shot stopper. Expect him to go out on loan soon, but we have 3 or 4 very good young keepers on our books.

 

Theres David Martin and Nikolay Mihaylov that are slightly older but both highly regarded, plus Gulacsi, Bouzanis and Hansen who all look great young prospects.

I'd like us to show faith in a youngster as a number 2 goalie, rather than spending £2-3m every few years on some average middle-aged journeyman. Even as to just increase their value a bit, ala Carson.

Gulacsi and Bouzanis are both potential top-flight players. Don't think Hansen is quite at the same level, he doesn't command his box as well and is less of a physical presence. I think he's a year older than the other two as well.
